[Mac Attack]

According to the SLIAC website:

"11.4.1.2 For multiple team ties, including for fourth, the procedures are, in order: 1) Head-to-Head competition between the tied teams. 2) Total point differential in games between the tied teams. 3) Coin flip conducted by the Commissioner."

Looks to me like you'd go to point differential, as Fontbonne, Eureka, and Westminster would all have 2-2 records that would include sweeps of another team. IF that's true, it would break down like this:

Fontbonne: -1 and -16 vs Eureka, +18 and +26 vs Westminster = +27
Eureka: +1 and +16 vs. Fontbonne, -9 and -17 vs. Westminster = -9
Westminster: -18 and -26 vs. Westminster and +9 and +17 vs Eureka = -18

Assuming I did this right, Fontbonne would be in. Griffins two impressive wins over the Jays certainly will prove to be the difference maker if it's a 3-way tie.

No word on Robertson, other than he had his legs taken out from him on a drive to the basket midway through the second half against Fontbonne. Hit the floor hard - no call. I would assume he will be ready to go for the conference tournament.

Officating at Blackburn last night was very, very good. They pretty much let them play and let the little stuff go. The players adjusted and it was a pleasure to watch the two teams get after it without having to worry about touch fouls. Neither team is very physical to begin with, so there wasn't a lot of banging going on in the lane. Not sure who the officials were, but it was one of the best crews we've seen all season.

First time in the Beaver Dome. Hard to imagine the conference tournament being played there last year. Limited seating to say the least. I was prepared for a dimly lit gym, and while it did seem a little darker, it didn't stand out. What did stand out is there were as many MacMurray fans at the game as Blackburn supporters, maybe more. That made for a great atmosphere.

Hard to imagine where Blackburn will be next season without Allen and Hammond. Two talented players who will leave a huge hole on the Beaver's roster when they graduate. They both seem like great kids too - real competitors who go out of their way to display good sportsmanship. Refreshing.

Panther is 100% correct - GC will be hard to beat at home. Eureka will have to play their best, and so will Westminster. All three teams are more than capable of winning it all. Just depends on who can put their best 40 minutes together, stay out of foul trouble, have their bench step up, hit their free throws, and get some breaks. The team that does that will represent the SLIAC in the NCAA tournament. I want to believe that any of the four teams that will be playing next week-end are capable of doing just that.

All I can say is wow Hopefan, an unprovoked insult for no apparent reason and Im the one throwing about "drivel".  This as im sitting here with -2 karma points, but I must be giving those to myself, oh wait I cant, so it must be you doing it right.  Listen as I said earlier, I cant attend as many games as I would like anymore, one with a modest level of intelligence would understand why I would not want to speak of games I have not watched or comment on players I have not seen, but I guess that one got past you.  Instead I catch some games, offer some comments and debate on topics that come up in which I might agree or disagree, Im sorry you do not find arguing with me as fun as it used to be, I guess youll just have to find someone else to help you get your jollies off old man, personally I could not care less.

MacAttack - Fournie hit the floor on the same play. Yes, it was a pretty violent collision to have a no call. But, I'm not sure which way it would of gone.

Pride - Nice post. I think it was determined on here, that we knew the Eureka ranking was way off. Other then that pretty interesting. Right now it looks like they nailed Webster and went 0 for the next three.

MacAttack - Robertson's injury was do in part to the way the game was called. They wouldn't call a foul the first half. Then the kids adjusted to it and it was a war. Both teams were going to the hole knowing it was going to be contested hard. I beleive if, my memory    serves me right, it was after that play the flood gates opened and everything was called. Intentional, flagrant, double - flagrant and technicals. The ref's tried to save what was lost.

Coach McKinney got a warning in the early 2nd half for saying, " If you don't start calling something this is going to get some one hurt " and I believe his most favorite " You'd go to prison for that on the streets."

FU v. Mac - is going to be a physical game. It has to be. MC's two big kids Greene and ( his name escapes me ) are big solid boys and Roberston is going to try to get to the rim on every play. MC has to play physical or FU's big men will dominate. FU's Storandt, Fogerty, White, Fournie and now Levette,  truly expects they should get every board.

This game needs to be called from the opening tip off in away that it's played 40 minutes on a level playing field. In most BIG conferences the Officating Crews do have game films and video on the teams they are preparing for. I'm not saying hours. Just take 20 mins. pre game together and look at teams tendencies. I am sure we will see the SLIAC's best at the Big Bend Classic.

I'm not so sure we'll see an FU-MC match-up in the tourney semi-finals. Maybe the finals. As far as Greene being big and solid, he's 6'4", 175 lbs. Compton is 6'4", 185 lbs. I'm pretty sure White, Foggerty, and Storandt are all bigger - in some cases, much bigger - than this. I think we'll see Webster and Fontbonne in the nightcap on Feb. 23. Mac will play either GC, WC, or EC. Just a hunch.

You did drop six smites in here in the past 24 hours. That seems to be the provocation. Not sure you shouldn't be called on it, and frankly, I would be in favor of removing karma privileges from people who have put in 200 posts and become lurkers since.

But the software doesn't provide for that.

Thats great pat, you seemed to have missed my point as well, but then again Ive always questioned your intelligence.  I never said I wasnt giving out smites, just I wasnt the only one doing it. Ive applauded people as well, but I guess that means nothing.  The insult was about what I have posted and I dont think that an assumption on Hopefans part, thats exactly what it was an assumption, warrants him trashing what I have posted (as drivel).  I dont know what you define as a lurker, but go ahead and take away the damn privelages, theyre silly anyway.  Hell if you want to be a site nazi you can take away my posting privelages too for all I care.  Whats the point of offering the privaleges if you are going to complain about the use of them.  Ive been a member of this site for the better part of three years, and I come here to read up on things as well as debate topics.  Im not going to apologize for not getting along with everyone and I think you are a joke Pat for being a site admin. and not keeping impartiality on this subject.  I smite you sir, and bunchtime when the 24 hour wait is up you get a applaud my friend, you to FC.
