The Sun is Shining Bright at the corner of Big Bend and Wydown Blvd. It may be a soggy tail gate party this evening. It is so nice that this game is being played at 7pm instead of 3:00 pm. I Hope all the Lurkers reading this board come out to the game. If your team is out you'll see the All - Conference awards for your players. I would say Spinner and Robertson may get All Tourney. Spinner darn well deserves it.

For me. I'll be the second happiest man in the building no matter what the outcome is. The road map from Tampa to this game is finished. On Dec. 31st when your 2-7 with a bunch of 18 yr. old kidsand your all ready 0-2 in conference play, all you can ask for is just a shot. It's been a hard road to 13-4 since then. Lose your point guard and trying to get accross to a bunch kids that this is a team sport wasn't easy.

FU never quit for 26 straight games. Battled everyone and finally caught the Gorlock's on a night where someone unexpected didn't beat us. It's Karma Baby!!!!!

Don't forget the SLIAC Hall of Fame induction of the first 16 athletes to be honored. It's at the halftime of the women's Championship game today at Webster. Each of the old 8 institutions will have one male and one female honored.

Everybody thought I was crazy. I did beleive in these kids.

furbug will be there tonight, after sticking his neck out with the "Webster win" prediction and furbug was wrong. Congratulations on the Fontbonne victory. Of course furbug was very disappointed, but close games almost always come down to making the free throws, which Webster did not, at least in the first half.

Good luck, Eureka. If the Red Devils play like they did last night against MacMurray - and if the referees let them play and not call the touch fouls - Eureka has a real shot. Pretty thin air for a team that only won four games last year. Eureka made a wise move by joining the SLIAC. Good for them and good for the other SLIAC teams.

I'll post thoughts on the MacMurray game last night, as well as their season, tomorrow. Want to let the salt settle in the bottom of the glass a little more. But what a wonderful, wonderful year it was for the Highlanders.
