40th High School Reunion!  Holy cow.   :o  Well, I must remember I am the young gun of the group.  I'll be headed back to French Lick for my 5-Year Reunion.  Yah Rah! :)  I'm the class president... so I have some work to do!  Ick!

Just goes to show that young and old can be bonded by basketball.

Let's see, who could hopefan be referring to that reached his 40th high school reunion 5 years ago??? I'll just say that there is also a poster on this site who has to be near, at, or past (??) a 50th COLLEGE reunion.

I'm impressed at the loyalty you guys show to your high schools. hopefan was a major organizer of his upcoming reunion and pantherpride class president. What an outstanding group we have.

For SLIAC fans who also like to follow Wash U, see the link to the article on the d3hoops home page aboout Wash U's incoming freshmen.

No doubt the article came from the Wash U athletics site.

Wow, a little stale in here the last few days.  Well, a couple items on hand for me...

1)  I thought I'd tell all you grumpy old sliac men happy fathers day!

2)  Our summer camp begins today and I get to see our guys scrimmage a couple times this week.  Not the entire team (minus Conquest, West..) but some of our recruits including Ben Cochran.  I'll try to update everyone throughout the week.

3)  I checked the NWC board (the conference I'm moving to) and there isn't much action in there.  I may have to stir up some dirt in there so if anyone wants to come over and give a few shouts, that'd be great. :)

You'll always be a Panther to me. LOL

For those interested. Terrance Lovette made us all proud on the floor. But, I'm happy and proud to report that T. Love received a gpa of 3.4 last semester. I know that there were those that thought he'd never stay eligible. Thanks Pat, I'm sure your story helped his drive.

Just promote the heck out of it in your game programs. :)

If I make game programs, I'll put a tag for d3hoops.com in there.  I believe I had one in our programs here at Greenville. :)

I had a chance to see the Eureka team play earlier this week in summer league action. It's apparent that Chris Beecher and Seth Davis will see a major up tick in minutes this season against teams with an inside scoring presence. Neither compares to Richard or Tarpley's offensive game, but Beecher especially can defend. EC will be well equipped to play small ball this year by moving Zasada to the 5. With three out of four top returning players as guards (McComb, Darnall, Wildenradt) and the top three recruits that I know of (Craig Black, Andy Leppard, Cody Myers) all guards as well.

Black (from Sullivan, IL) is the most athletic (and tallest at about 6'1'') of the 3 newcomers. Coach Wilde has spoke highly of him and it sounded like I didn't exactly see his best performance. Still, he made some good moves to the basket. I don't have a good handle on Leppard (from Cissna Park) as yet. He didn't seem too aggressive offensively. I've seen Myers many times in high school when he played near my hometown at South Fulton HS. He is a streaky scorer that is used to being the first option since he didn't have much talent around him in high school. He can be a tad careless with the ball when playing the point.

SLIAC coaches may as well use Eureka game film from 2006-07 for taping their favorite TV show reruns this summer. There will be a totally different unit in Maroon and Gold this year (not to mention the fact that they'll be wearing new home uniforms...white instead of gold thankfully).

eureka_sid, don't you mean Seth McCoy (not Davis). He and Zach Davis are the two I mentioned that my son went to jr high with in Piper City.

You are of course correct, yjak. A slip of sorts getting Seth McCoy mixed up with a CBS college basketball commentator. At least I had the right sport!

I'm not sure the name of the league. They play at the Riverplex in Peoria on Mondays.

any SIDs or school reps our there?   Would love to see 2007-08 schedules posted on School sites for Blackburn, Eureka, Fontbonne, Greenville, Mac Prin, and Webster....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

It's still June. While schedules may already be worked out for some of the schools, we can give them a little time to get them posted, can't we?

BTW hopefan, how was the reunion?
