Since Razor Back started the Pre Season Poll, I'll add mine. Based on returners and posted info.

1.) Webster - Loses two big men and adds 3-4
2.) Fontbonne - I figure the loss of Fournie will cost us at least a game somewhere.
3.) Maryville - I would rank higher but with the 20 man rotation, just can't.
4.) Greenville - Return alot and over due.
4.) Eureka - Not that far off last year.
6.) Mac Murray - Was playing very tough towards the end. Newcomers could boost them to the top.
7.) Westminister - Well coached but lost a ton.

BC and EC - flip a coin.

uh oh -  glad FC has noticed my absence  -  I am caught up in an overwhelming project at work, a significant part of which impacts my work directly - so while I am on constantly checking for comments from FC and Yjak and the Razor Back man, I have not let myself get fired up to do the kinds of research and prognostication that I normally would - I'm out of town the first real weekend of the season Nov 20/21, and much at work comes to a climax on Nov 28/29  - Hopefully if all is well, I'll be able to go up to Bloomington to see MU on the 30th, and though i know I'm again tied on Dec 2nd and will miss FC and Font hosting BC, I hope to be able to go full tilt start The weekend of Dec 5/6.

BUT, now that you have me

1 Font   as long as the boys stay sober and injury free
2 Maryville  some pretty good young players should now be some pretty good mature players
3 Webster   if the new big men come through
4 Greenville  some of the kids off the bench last year will blend in well with Cochrane, Ellis, but size will hurt
5 Mac  sounds like lots of good individuals, can they be molded into a team
6 Eureka - EC SID is a good buddy, but glowing words alone won't take this
          group into the playoffs
7 Westmister - teams go in cycles, this is Westminsters turn to rebuild
8  Prin -  two good returnees  should keep them out of the basement
9  Blackburn - Don't know what my buddies the rowdies will have to cheer about this year

Hopefan - Sorry to hear work is getting in the way of your fav pastime. Sober is not a problem. Injury is always a concern.

Arthur2000 - One secret pal. With your email available for all to see, your self promotion or that of your son's, won't go over well. Not on this site.

Hopefan old buddy. I feel your pain about work. I am trying this year to be an easier and less intense poster. That is why I chose to sleep on this one before posting.

Your use of the word "sober" ,here in a public forum, I have a problem with.

I'm going to give you the oppurtunity to edit your post.

I am sure the word was used in jest. Just poor choice of words.

sober meaning sane, not excited, out of control, as far as playing style.  No retraction necessary

hello all, just an update, just saw the Greenville Panthers, and Ben Cochran there returning starting point guard looked very impressive, look for him to be a very good leader for them, he is a known winner, being a main part of the state championship that his Maroa team won in his senior year of high school, looked for them to spark up the Sliac!

In this day and age I still find your choice of words troubling. I don't recall ever seeing that word used for that meaning. But, since you put up your definition, people reading now know what you were really trying to say.

The pot has been stirred again.

In a time when we have a drug epedemic sweeping the country (And Mo. tops some lists), binge drinking a major topic on most campuses and the young folks taking hit on their character from every angle. I find it amazing that you choose to use the word SOBER in the same sentence as this group of kids.

But I do realize that your choice of words probably grabs alot more attention. Then say a word like "composure".

Retraction, who cares. I'm sure the FU players that read this site will notice the use. ???

I tried. And lasted one day into the season. Things are much friendlier in the soccer room.

Golly gee, hopefan and fc, you've gone weeks without a spat.

I will chime in on the "sober" discussion just to say that I'm sure hopefan was not thinking about drugs and alcohol when he used that word, but that it is still too bad it appeared in a context that realtes to college students.
