An ugly loss? Maybe you should wake up. This isn't the pre-redshirt era...it's the post-redshirt era. There is one dominant team in the WIAC (UWSP). Check out the other school's rosters, tell me where they are keeping up recruiting wise?
UWEC, UWO, UWW, UWL. These schools are in prime locations and they fail to recruit each year and now it's starting to catch up with them. Concordia-Wisconsin defeated UWL, MSOE beat both UWEC and UWO (ugly loss or just the truth of where the WIAC is at? I think the truth).
St. Norberts kicked the crap out of UWO the past three years. Carroll and Ripon have in past years and still continue to put out really good programs. Have you seen the recruiting classes in just the last year alone? I think you need to wake up and see where the state of Wisconsin basketball is really at!
Wow!!!  Standards must be low when victories by eight and four points are now considered "kicking the crap" out of somebody. I'll give you this years 15 point victory, but other than that, SNC has been far from dominant against UWO.

As far as Whitewater, badgerwarhawk would probably be a better source, but I'd like to see the last time a team from Wisconsin outside of the WIAC has beaten them in basketball.  I know it hasn't happened in the last five years!!!

Here's WW's non-con history for the last decade...:

Last year (09-10, they lost at Whitworth in Tacoma (and Whitworth was a heckuva team last year), then at Wooster in NCAA Round 2.

Two years ago (08-09), they lost at Mary Hardin-Baylor and to Wash U (at Elmhurst) in NCAA Round 2.

Three years ago (07-08), they lost against St. Johns and Loras in NCAA Round 1 (both at home).

Four years ago (06-07), they lost against Illinois Wesleyan (home) and at Elmhurst.

Five years ago (05-06), they lost to Loras (at North Central), at Carroll, and to Illinois Wesleyan in NCAA Round 2.

Six years ago (04-05), they swept their non-con

Seven years ago (03-04), they swept their non-con

Eight years ago (02-03), they lost at Wartburg

Nine years ago (01-02), they lost at St. Xavier (IL).

I count 8 regular season losses (i.e. non-WIAC Tourney, non-NCAA Tourney) in 10 seasons.

Facts.  Provide us with facts.

I have one... Look two posts above this one.  The WIAC has an in-region win% of 73%.

Last year, the WIAC was 52-12 (81.25) against D-III and 60-17 (78.75) overall.

So perhaps that means the WIAC is down... but I'm not sure that we have enough data yet to say this.  Down compared to what...?  Last year?  They had two NCAA tournament teams and the National Champion, and the highest winning % in the country.

73% has to be up there again this year.

I guess I struck a nerve.  Any WIAC team losing to MSOE is ugly.  UWEC loss = ugly  UWO loss = ugly
MSOE is not Carroll, St Norberts or Ripon for that matter.

I hope you're not suggesting MSOE is a powerhouse and hub of where Wisconsin basketball is really at.

You must be absolutely blind. An ugly loss for UWO and UWEC to MSOE. That is because MSOE is better than both. Don't say it's ugly, it's just the truth. These schools don't recruit The best player on those three teams is Austin Meier from MSOE. Should have been a Division II player.

The fact MSOE is better than either WIAC team is the reason the losses are ugly.  I've got 20/20 eye sight and I've been awake since 8:00am this morning.   The WIAC should not be losing to MSOE or any NATHC team for that matter.

Excluding this season the NATHC is 2-13 vs the WIAC in the previous three seasons.

Now you should go and find out the whole story why he is at MSOE.......

As an Engineer Major, MSOE was the perfect school for him.  Throw in the fact that he got a Presidential Scholarship, and four years of FULL tuition.  Essentially, he is getting a Division One full ride at the Division Three level.  There isn't a WIAC school that could even come close to offering that no matter how hard they tried!!!

Bennett Deacon of MSOE looks like a pretty good player, as good as anyone on the Eau Claire or Oshkosh team with the exception of Schimpf.

I had a high school classmate who got an academic award at MSOE and he was a really bright guy.  It is a rigorous academic institution.

I'm sure it is, however you don't have to be very bright to figure out it's better for you (and family) financially to get four years of free tuition at MSOE comared to financial aid at any other four-year school.

I don't care how hard any WIAC coach (Point included) recruited Meier, there was absolutley NO WAY they were going to get him.  Once he got the Presidential Scholarship, it was a done deal....

I hear ya on the woman part!!!!  I can think of a couple of guys that chose the school they are at based on a older girlfriend being there.   ::)

Don't they know that there are "jersey-chasers" all over the place at the D3 level?   ;D
