So, grey shirting is-essentially-sitting out, so isn't that what he did?

Remove second "so" and replace with "and". Sorry

Can't practice or travel with team. Has expectation of being on team when year off is done. I understand he had knee issues, but I can't imagine you can red-shirt a season during which you have to sit out.

Jeez. Where is everybody. My posts have echoes.

No, you can practice when the team when you have to sit out.  Greyshirting is different... effectively, Manor got what amounts to a redshirt year without it actually being called that.

It's similar to what Jerrel Harris is having to do at D-II St. Leo after following Turncoat Randall (all NCAA athletes have to sit out if transferring "up" from III to II or I, "up" from II to I, or laterally from II to II or I to I.  No NCAA rule for III to III... but some conferences, like the WIAC do have such a rule for people like Manor who transfer within the conference.  Thus, Harris doesn't lose the year of eligibility, can practice with the team, but can't participate or dress for any games.

Interestingly, Marcus Ruh did not have to sit out... b/c his head coach retired.  There's an NCAA rule that you don't have to sit out when transferring if your head coach leaves, so he can play right away at St. Leo.

Things have changed while I wasn't looking, then. Daughter transferred from DIII to DI and could have played immediately--if she had a major and enough credits in progress to it (not having a major makes it difficult to make progress toward it)

Superior beats Whitewater. Twice.

Whitewater is 11-3 in the WIAC.
two losses to Stevens Point and one to Superior.

The "twice" refers to Miller whining his way into having extra time put on the clock twice in the second half, the second time at the end of the game.

Oh... I didn't know the details of the game..

It was an ambiguous post. It needed explaining

Coach Siverling won't win Coach of the Year honors, but he deserves some votes for the progress Superior has made after starting the year with a two-point win over a woeful Northland team, especially now that Buchanon's fab freshmen class are no longer there.  If the 7'0 center can improve his stamina and get stronger in the weight room, he could be a real force in the next two years.

Stout wins a thriller over Eau Claire in overtime 67-66!!!!

Being a close game throughout what more would you expect than the I-94 rivalry go into overtime..... during Rivalry Week nontheless   ;D

Raglund started out well hitting 2 of his first 3 jumpers and Oman as well. Eau Claires Kalien knocked down a couple threes early keeping the game interesting. Going bucket for bucket what more would you want than a 31-31 halftime score. The second half was similar to the first with no team taking control of the game (I think the biggest lead was Eau Claire by 6 or so). Aaron Jenny from Stout hit back to back 3's but of course so did EC's Dustin Kalien. Stout being down 3 with 13 seconds remaining Carter Ciolkosz nailed a 3 from the corner to tie the game and EC was unable to win the game at the end of regulation. Overtime was the same going lay up for lay up, 3 for 3, and 1 for and 1, missed free throw for missed throw. It was creepy how similar the teams were playing. Oman hitting 1 of 2 free throws with 28 seconds remaining Eau Claires Kalien missed a very good look from the 3 point line (Made 6 on the day too) to win the game. Wasnt exactly a text book win but a wins a win......... and this also puts Eau Claire in a very tough postion to reach the playoffs.

Oman 9-24 with 24 pts and 7 reb, Ciolkosz 5-12 (3 3's) 15 pts and 4 reb
Kalien 7-11 (6-10 from 3) 23 pts and 4 reb, Peterson struggles..... 2-10 9 pts and 7 to's

Ill let Greek or Point get into the details of the possibilities of teams making the playoffs and seedings. I know you guys always do a good job with that  8-)

La Crosse lost to Platteville at home after building a 17 point first half lead.

Congrats to the Pioneers for not giving up and making the adjustments needed to win.

I think I have this right, if you notice something though let me know!

River Falls will win conference with 2 wins
Order would be RF, Point, WW

Or a loss to LAX and win over WW and Point loss.
Order would be RF, Point, WW

WW can win conference with 2 Point losses and win over RF,
Order would be WW, RF, SP

Or 2 losses by both Point and RF,
Order would be WW, SP, RF

SP can win conference by finishing ahead of RF or tied with WW

Additionally, SP can win conference if SP, WW and RF all finish tied and Sup would finish higher than EC or Stout (one of which Point would have to lose to for tie) in the standings,
Order would be SP, WW, RF

Final 3 spots

Team   Record   Head-to-head vs. other 3   Remaining games
SUP     8-7               2-3            vs. LC
UWP    7-8               3-2            vs. EC
UWEC    6-8               3-2            @ UWP, vs. SP
UWL    6-8               2-3            vs. RF @ Sup

Superior has clinched a playoff spot and would clinch the #4 seed with UWEC loss or a win.

Platteville clinches postseason with a win over UWEC or losses by both UWEC and UWL.  Platteville will travel if they make the tournament.

UWEC can clinch a playoff spot with a win over UWP or two losses by UWL.  UWEC can clinch playoff spot with two losses and two UWL losses. UWEC will clinch the #4 seed with two wins and SUP loss and SP finishing ahead of RF.  UWEC can clinch #4 seed with two wins, Sup loss, 2 UWL win and SP finishing ahead of RF.

UWL can clinch playoff spot with two wins, or with a win and two losses by EC.  UWL can clinch the four seed with 2 wins, and UWP win and RF finishing ahead of UWW.

The last additionally point about UWSP winning the conference should read that if all three are tied and RF loses to WW than Point can win.
