Drake--I would bet you could get tickets by walking up Friday. We do not have a history of drawing well. I've not seen the gym full this season, including for WW and Point recently. I walked up last year on Friday at UST and got in at around 6:00 p.m. How many tix do you need? I could buy some for you and meet you in the lobby.

I don't know how deep they are... that's sort of been the thing with Wheaton teams in the past... but they certainly do have some star power in Tim McCrary.  He's averaging better than 18 ppg and would be a great game should Wheaton and RF meet.

Wheaton's deeper than it usually is. Mike Schauer can go ten deep if he has to without suffering too much, although his preference is an eight-deep rotation.

Hope has an incredibly nice facility.

I'm bummed... this seems to be my excuse for making a trip to Hope... but we've got plans and so I won't be able to make it  >:(.

At the very least, I'm hoping to be able to watch it... Any Hope guys lurking that might have insight into if the games will be broadcast?

I know that D3hoops has done many, if not all of the pods where they were lacking (though that might have just been for Sweet 16... I can't remember).

Bearer of bad news I'm afraid - Hope does not have video broadcast of games at DeVos.  It is purportedly a work in progress for next year.

Actually, I have good news all around here.

1) We tried to offer our video services at Hope and were told they weren't needed, that Hope will be broadcasting this weekend.
2) We tried to offer our video services at UWRF and this might happen. We're waiting to hear if the IT people can get another line activated. If so, I believe we will have video for all three games at UWRF.

That is great news!

Thanks for everything you guys do Pat.  It's so much more than just providing the message board... it's creating new content, it's doing things like the projections, it's devoting several hours per week with Hoopsville and coordinating with host schools to make sure there are video broadcasts!

I think it's easy to get caught up with our own teams and conferences and take for granted how much easier it is to locate that information and follow those teams and conferences because of these sites!

Pat, do you know the status at UWW? Last I heard they were only doing videocasts of UWW games, which I found to be an enormous disservice when one of your teams travelled 2,000 miles to get there. Perhaps something has changed though.

I haven't had any contact with UWW on it, sorry.

Seems like there should be a rule that if you provide video for one game, you should provide it for both.

Thanks to a generous donation from the UW-WHITEWATER chancellor's office there will be live webcasts of all the games.  You can find a link here:

Excellent. That's how it should be done.

And it shouldn't take a special donation. This is part of the duties of hosting a regional. With great power comes great responsibility. :)

UWRF is making progress. Hope to hear from IT about a speed test on a new ethernet jack in the gym and I will be going over there tomorrow to do some work for myself. Feel good that this will happen, there.

Unfortunately for this state funded school it took a donation to cover the expense.

Yes, we've all seen the depths of UWW's financial suffering, with their football stadium with only one videoboard, a student-athete resource building measuring in at a mere 10,000 square feet and only two fields covered with FieldTurf. It's like the depression era around there. ;)
