Yeah, Shane was nominated as a guard and to be honest, there were many more forwards in the pool than guards. His handle was good enough for me to list him as a guard, even though he obviously didn't shoot the three like one.

Congratulations to UW-Whitewater's Chris Davis who has been selected to the 1st Team All-West Region team by D3football.com.

An undiputable fact is that Davis has been "the man" all season long for the Warhawks.

Check out a story on Davis that was posted today on the Warhawks to  Final Four Blog.

How did you know this Saturday was bowling Saturday????

I really hope that's not the reason you can't go.  If it is, lie to me.  ;) :-\ :-X ???

LOL, if it was I wouldn't admit it.

Actually I am making the trip.  Mrs BW is pretty understanding and wouldn't make an issue out of it.

I'm sure Salem must have a bowling alley.

Congrats UWW!  Represent the WIAC well.  Hope to watch the games online.

Rumor has it Darnell Harris will be playing for UW-Whitewater next year.  More good news for Whitewater.

Whitewater has had many dominate players in the past, but I do not believe to the extent of Chris Davis.  Chris led the Warhawks in 14 of 22 statistical catagories, was 2nd in 4 others and was in the top 5 of the remaining 4 catagories.  Great performance. Put a shine to the season in Salem.  :)

It is no secret that the UW-Whitewater football team has cast a rather large shadow over the UWW athletic department in the wake of four national titles and seven straight trips to the Stagg Bowl.  As a Warhawk fan you have to feel really good for men's basketball coach Pat Miller for getting a "huge monkey" off his back with this weekend's trip to Salem.

UWW football coach Lance Leipold addressed the basketball team at a recent practice he talked to them about feeling good about themselves and to make it a "business trip" to the Final Four, play well, and bring home the D III championship trophy.

To read a story on Leipold addressing the U-Dub-Dub men's basketball team click onto a story posted today on the Warhawks Road to the Final Four Blog.

I'll need him to if I'm going to finish strong in the National Tourney Fantasy League! LOl :-)

In all seriousness, he definitely is a dominating player.  Good luck to Whitewater!

The poll at D3 hoops has MIT as a decided favorite to winning it all.... Any merit in that poll?

MIT students like to mess with Pat by stuffing the ballot boxes of his online polls. They have a storied history of computer hacking and hijinks, probably rivaled only by Caltech.

Ballot boxes are the only thing MIT will be "stuffing" come Friday night.  ;D

that was my lame attempt at a joke.
