Let's see Rico...How would the late, great Jim Croche put it.

The attitude in WHITEWATER[/color] is that if we don't win the conference tournament championship we aren't going anywhere after next week regardless of what happens in the regular season.

Good attitude to have BW, we will have to step up and win it then, just look at the ALB days when they won conference regular seasons but didn't do nothing in the tournament and how that played out to get no bids during his junior and senior years.

I think this year's team is different, and tonight will prove a lot of things about what this team is all about.  I doubt that I will be able to listen to much of the game, and the Badgers play OSU, but I wished that I could go to Oshkosh and see them play.  I have enjoyed this year's addition with them stepping up defensively, Melvin has seriously surprised me by shutting down some top scorers in the leauge and hustling.  It seems that they are more cohesive, and hopefully they can pull of an upset at Kolf tonight and get some more recognition.

GO HAWKS

Mr. Downtown

It would not be an upset if Whitewater beats Oshkosh tonight based on record.

uww4ever

I think it could be considered an upset considering uww history at kolf, but I would consider any road win by UWW an upset if they were playing one of the top 5 teams in the conference.  I guess that's my thinking.  Could go either way.

Is home court really an issue?  I guess that's the question.

Triple Dub

Home court is an issue, plus UWW has already lost to UWO at home.  I would call it an upset if it happened...or maybe the term surprise is more appropriate. :-\

La Crosse fans, coaches and players should contact the NCAA and find out what the deal is.

According to the NCAA, La Crosse is 16-5 in-region, while Lakeland is 16-3 in-region.  This means that La Crosse's win against Lakeland does not count as in-region.  Pat says it's 193 miles or so.

D3hoops has La Crosse at 17-5 and Lakeland at 16-4.  This also effects the QOWI AND in-region records against ranked opponents.

Just think...15 points (the highest point total a team can get) added to you QOWI for winning on the road against a team with a winning % higher than .667!  Get on it Brian Carroll, charmx and Koelbl!  ;D

194 miles according to (not so) trusty Mapquest. Very astute OS. The D3hoops Hall of Famer strikes again ;)

Go La Crosse. Both teams with big games tonight. Women can clinch first WIAC tournament game ever at home and men can inch closer. Wish it were a doubledip. I'll have to settle for the women at Mitchell and the men on the old walkman (do they still call them that?).

Hopefully no spontaneous yelps reacting to the men while it's quiet in the gym.

Pat Coleman

Mapquest is right, that IS the shortest distance. However, MS Streets and Trips does not take that route -- it sends people on U.S. 151 out of Fon Du Lac to Sheboygan instead of Route 23, which is a straight line.

Sometimes the "shortest possible distance" setting isn't the shortest possible distance. This is one of those times. UW-La Crosse is therefore not a regional game.

Yes, biggest upset in years  ;)

59-49, listened to part of the game while watching the badgers upset osu, will have to look at the boxscore, but again defense may be key to win.

Thanks hawks and badgers, time for some jager bombs!!!!!

Pat, I don't suppose there is any appeal in those cases where Streets and Trips is PROVABLY wrong?

[I'll psych out the response]:

No?  Didn't think so.
