UWL has two transfers and 6 incoming freshmen for the 2013-2014 season.

One of the transfers isbfrom EC and looked to have played football for just one year. Heres a question: what if he played two years of football and then transferred to La Crosse to play basketball, would he still have sit out a year?

Check out the front page. Nice Hoops Claasic in Vegas over Christmas/New Years. Point, Platteville and Superior men in the tourney along with Whitewater women. Point plays Whitworth and Whitman.

Bonus: maybe watch Combs coach with Carroll there too!

I do not think he has to sit out a year - the conference transfer rules apply only sport to sport.

Hope is playing at Whitewater and Stevens Point next season.

Wow! Tough way to start out the season. Points schedule doesn't come out for another months!

Sac,

Is Whitewater in-region? I don't imagine Point is. Will Hope get 70% of their games in-region because just their conference games won't  cut it (14 of 24).

Carthage is not in-region, so I can't imagine Whitewater would be.

Wheaton, Lake Forest, Centre, and Thomas More are all in-region games, so Hope meets the threshold.

Combs has turned down Carroll per Hoopdirt.com
Per the Wayne State web site - Paul Combs has resigned to accept the Carroll College job.

When I read it on hoopdirt.com I was a bit surprised he turned it down. Without knowing the financial part of the equation, Wayne St. is a tough gig in the Northern Sun. When I saw your post I wasn't surprised to see he had accepted Carroll job. Good find on your part.

That was the very first thing I've read on the internet that was wrong.  My faith is shaken.
