It's Sunday afternoon and I am sipping on a very good "Montana Trout Slayer" ale.  Thank you, Mrs. Nonemacher, but more importantly, thank you for sending those twins our way.  It is a joy to watch their progress.

Congratulations, Stoutguy.  Your team was really impressive.

Actually T2K, Stout really isn't a tall team.

True, they have three 7 footers. One never see's the floor.

Beyond that, they are small at the guard positions and at power forward. (Although Farmer can really elevate) Chaisson at the 3 spot would be considered average for his position.

Somebody over in the MIAC is home brewing some "Eelpout Ale" in his garage.

I'll have to get you some to go with your Trout Slayer.  :)

Congrats Fred Falcon on two fronts:1) Winning the pick'em.  2)Getting the draw in the tournament you were hoping for. (You just want to come to the Ale House again.)

fredfalcon

Thanks, stoutguy, and yes I do want to check out the ale house another time. If you're there, I MIGHT buy.

And thanks to O.S. for setting up the Pickem League--again.

Congratulations to the team and staff.  Coach Miller gets 100 wins in five seasons at the head, not too shabby.

Just my particular take on things with admittedly a limited view.   How do some of the rest of you see the team?

BW-I believe your 1st and 2nd "Teams" would both be 1st team since 10 players are selected to the 1st team, and everyone else who receives votes earns "Honorable Mention."

Yes, I know that.  I was just trying to separate the group I saw as the top five, the next five and those who will be getting votes but won't quite make it.

When you see them listed on the WIAC website the first 10 will be listed by the order in which they received votes.

After the initial voting determines the team therewill be another vote involving only the top three and the winner of that ballot will be the player of the year.

Greek Tragedy

I remember reading an article that said Whitewater was going for just their 4th out-right conference championship (obviously before this weekend).  I find that amazing considering they have THREE National Championships.

Congrats to the Warhawks.  Obviously, I'm a Pointer fan first and foremost, but it would be cool to see Whitewater get into the NCAA tourney because there were two or three years recently where Whitewater shared the conference title with Point/Oshkosh and didn't have anything to show for it since they were knocked out in the conference tourney.  That's a shame.

I think we've (at least me) have been talking about La Crosse and Stout having the best chances of getting Pool C bids.  I believe La Crosse is on the fence now since they have six in-region losses already.  Whitewater is also on the fence in regards to Pool C with a 15-5 record.  They'll probably have to make the championship game and end the "regular" season at 17-6 to get in.  Stout should be in pretty good shape.

Sorry, that's tall by my 5'7" standards.  But you deserve the call because you beat my Titans like a drum twice.   >:(
