Greek Tragedy

Its discouraging they lost especially since Oman, Whitehead and Jenny were all in the starting lineup together for the 1st time in awhile.

I think you have to have a certain number of posts before you can utilize the feature.

Seeing as AppletonRocks is just another name for a previously deposed poster, he certainly knows this.

Remember that this system has been here for seven years. That's a long time to accumulate pluses and minuses for regular posters.
Was going to reply to his post from earlier today, but see it has since been deleted....

Let's just say he can't even keep his lies straight now.  First it was a buddy that used to post, and now a family member.  Next it will be his kid!!! :o

Would you like me to post the obituary?  >:(

I went back to see who my brother had his disputes with before Mr. Coleman bounced him--and you were in the mix.  He really disliked Coach Van Dellen as he felt his recruiting effort was substandard.

Cubs--one more thing I picked up from the old posts--where are the fish biting?  On Poygan or are you up river?

The list of who your "brother" didn't have disputes with might be shorter than the list that he did!!!  :o

As far as the fishing, go out put the time in yourself to find out where they are biting....  ;)

Regarding LAX win last night, anyone know why Tweed played just two minutes?  Illness / injury?

Amazing to see Oshkosh holding down the last playoff spot at this point of the season.

Mid - season All WIAC:

Tillema
Hass
Cross
Gerber
Evans
Young
Skogman
Oman
Whitehead
Peterson or Ollie White

I've got 9 guys from the top 5 squads - I believe the spoils go to the victors.  Peterson and White put up numbers but their teams are what they are.

I wasn't able to watch or listen to the men's game last night but judging from the box score our perimeter defense was pretty poor.  We took more shots than LaCrosse, out rebounded them, had fewer turnovers and matched them from the free throw line but the Eagles out shot us 15 to 7 from beyond the arc and that was the difference.  Four WARHAWKS scored in double digits (Evans: 19, Young: 18, Merg: 15 and Bryson: 14) and we out scored them 42-22 in the paint.  Foul trouble limited Hearn to 17 minutes and only 2 points.  Perimeter defense has been an issue this year though I had thought we'd improved as it's progressed.  Evidently last night was a step backwards.

I was at the women's game last night.  A total of 59 fouls were whistled and the teams combined to shoot 71 free throws.  I'm not sure that there was a continous minute played without a foul.  In some stretches it was every time down the floor.  It was nuts.

I don't understand why you don't see that I'm willing to give you a fourth chance but for goodness sakes, quit playing games. This is 2014. We have to be past this kind of behavior on message boards by now, right?

BW   I have watched many WIAC games this year, both men and women.  This is really a comment about women's officiating but nobody talks on the women's board anymore.  It seems to me the men officials have done a pretty good job of figuring out, even with the new rules this year, that people don't want to watch a parade to the foul line.  The women's officials have not figured that out yet.

I don't want to criticize the officiating.  However it was a tight as I've seen this year by a long ways.  Neither team seemed to adjust very well and substitutes, who tend to get more fouls called anyway, played extensive minutes.  It was just an ugly, drawn out affair and I missed most of the finale of Klondike by the time I got home.

Basketball is basketball whether it is a man or woman playing and officials need to learn that. Let the physical play goin both. Girls play the game for the same reason men do. The officiating is usually the main reason I have a tough time watching a woman's game. Badgerwarhawks post is a perfect example (although I know not all games are that extreme).

I always thought officials are there to regulate, but seems more often than not some are out there to make the crazy calls and try to be a hero. Just let the players play and they will adjust to the physicality of the game.

Gotta be Titan 2000.  Pat, let him back on.  He was funny.  Remember the deer hunting stuff with Van Dellen.  I'm telling ya it would bring this board back to life.  And BW, missing most of Klondike.  That is obscene.  Those refs should be ashamed of themselves.

So do I have this straight?  AppleRocks is Titan2000's brother and Titan2000 is dead?  If all of this is true it is really embarrassing to admit that I earlier suggested that we could liven up this board by including a guy who has died.  My apologies.

Talking about Richard Sherman could liven board up.
