Nice article on Whitewater on the front page...but I'm sure all of you know that since everyone checks the front page first, right?  ??? ;D

Best line:

Along with its veteran core, the Warhawks have received strong play throughout the year from big men K.J. Evans and Reggie Hearn, who average 16.8 and 12.6 points per game, respectively. Evans also averages 8.3 rebounds per game while Hearn collects an average of 5.4 boards.

Pat, in no way am I criticizing Josh. I just think it's ironic how he's viewed as a "big man" in the article. It's also noted that he went from the "3-spot" to the "4". When someone who knows nothing or very little about Whitewater, they may think this "big man" KJ Evans is a 6'6" guy since the "4" is a power-forward position. There's no mention of his actual height and when someone reads he's averaging 8.3 rebounds a game, someone may be shocked to see that he's only 6'3". There is a picture of him, so they might get an idea that he's not such a big man afterall. I've posted numerous times how impressed I am with Evans.

Salem...Whitewater's home away from home.

Time to bring it home tomorrow boys...Evans is playing at a whole different level than anyone else right now. The 'hawks' timing is perfect to catch fire this past month.

Congrats WW.

Okay WIAC and NCAA DIII historians -  who else has won the National Title without being a regular season or conference tournament champion?

Seems like it would be an extremely rare feat.

Congratulations to the Warhawks!  You took down a team that was playing its best basketball of the year.  Great team effort and excellent coaching...

YEA!!!!!!! Year of the warhawk.

Football, basketball, WC men's ball, WC women's BBall, gymnastics.

That win was a lot like the football team's win. Not favored to win the conference...but yet won the national title!!!!!

Congrats to the Warhawks.  An epic game between two great teams.  Young made a heck of a  play to win it and the Warhawks were the only team whose defense really gave the Ephs' trouble late in the year.  Williams had been playing at a very high level, and it took a great overall effort and a lot of clutch shooting to beat them.  Evans is a tremendous player on both ends, and will surely be a first-team all-American next year.

Congrats to Tillema (1st), Hass (4th) and Evans (HM) for All-American honors...and, of course, Miller for Coach of the Year.
