Platteville escapes 60-59. Ahsenmacher hits 2 FTs with 34 to go and Manning hits a layup to tie it and is fouled. He makes the FT for the winning margin as Ahsenmacher misses a layup as time expires.

Just got home from the game. Another heart breaker for the Devils as the free throw shooting continues to be a problem. Ragland didn't have many points, maybe 6. He didn't take many shots either.

This team never gives up, they were down by double digits in the first half with P'ville shooting lights out. Everyone healthy played, and there  is a sophomore and a group of freshman that look really good.

Alex Richard hits a half court runner at buzzer to win 69-66 in OT over Oshkosh.  I felt Olsen was fouled on the prior drive to the hoop, but you never get those calls at Quandt.  >:(

Whatever happened to the floor at Quandt needs to be fixed, lots of players falling down inexplicably.  The announcers kept saying something happened--any of you Point folks have some info on that?  ???

GT--has your opinion of Oshkosh gone up? Still think the Titan win over RF was an upset?

I didn't realize the La Crosse win over River Falls was also a buzzer beater...shown right after the Pointers highlight!

I recall Johnny Coenen made a shot just like that to take his Appleton East High team to state in a game at the Brown County Arena.

My opinion on Oshkosh was never that low to begin with. The Whitewater blowout was expected and hanging at Platteville was a good showing. They came into the River Falls contest 1-2 after their win at Superior. On the other hand, the Falcons were 3-1 after narrowly losing to visiting Whitewater.  I still think, at that time, Oshkosh winning was an upset. If you're asking me this question because they narrowly lost to Point last night, I don't think my opinion changed because of that result. Point hammered the Titans two weeks ago. But I knew it would be closer this time around because Oshkosh is playing well now (won 3 in a row comong into Quandt) and Point was playing without Stephen Pelkofer.

Point shot 68%/64% from 3 in the first game vs Oshkosh.  75% in the first half.  Yes, they can shoot, but that was ridiculous. Last night proved they are a lot closer when an extreme shooting % regresses to the mean.

WARHAWKS: 83
Superior: 59

Quardell Young opened the game with a three point play and the WARHAWKS were off to the races opening up a double digit lead for good after about six minutes of play.  Defensively the WARHAWKS held the Yellow Jackets to 16 points on 18% from the floor while shooting 67% themselves and dominated in the paint 24-6.  Young's 9 points led way.  Xzavier Moananu and Ron Patten each added 8 points. KJ Evans 5 rebounds and 3 assists were both team highs.  Newcomer Rahjan Muhammad contributed 5 points and a pair of assists spelling Young.  The WARHAWKS largest lead, 34 points, came early in the second half and the Yellow Jackets would get no closer than twenty points for the remainder of the game.

Moananu: 12 points, 3 steals
Patten: 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals
Muhammad: 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal
Young: 11 points, 4 assists, 1 steal
Evans: 8 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists

Superior:
Zach Schradle: 14 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists
Caleb Burch: 13 points, 3 assists
John Denny: 10 points

You're right. Because Oshkosh always shoots 57.5% including 7-11 (63 .6%) from 3. You guys must really think I hate Oshkosh.

Titans were able to get to the hoop a lot.  Percentage reflects that.   Just couldn't get the last one down.

Three point shooting matched Point's in Oshkosh.

Wonder if Schebel was still in if Juckem would have backed him into the post instead of the drive they called?  Max has been tough to stop as the season wears on.

Or is it Mike Schebel?  Sorry, I listened to the UW-SP stream.  :D
