Don't like the transfer propensity at Whitewater.  Hope those players get meaningful degrees.

Curious. What's your reasoning here?

As far as I know, all of the transfers to Whitewater have graduated. They've come to Whitewater in large part to get a new start, come closer to home, etc.

I think if there's one program who has taken in a significant number of transfers and done it right, it's Whitewater. Maybe that's just the outsider's perspective... but Pat Miller is running his program pretty well in my view and the players are the largest beneficiary of it.

I used to work with transfer students including athletes.  I enjoyed that a lot.

Transfer students earn the same degrees as everyone else.

Nice work, tomt4525  +1k

No problem GT, I've been the beneficiary of plenty of people giving their thoughts on Point games and scrimmages that I was unable to attend.  So, I'm glad to do my part as well.  Going to be a fun season to follow.

In recent exhibition play, Stout unofficially played 36 players in their game at UW-Green Bay. Of the 36 players, none were named Hank or Reggie Kujak. Are they back?

Adam Hjelter, who was basically out the whole year last season wasn't in the boxscore at Winona State.

Lucas Collom did show up in La Crosse's game at Winona State.

Dropping the conference game schedule to just 14 games means an extra 2 nonconference games. If a WIAC team is going to go 10-4, their nonconference record is going to have to be about 9-2.

Friday, Nov. 13
Whitewater at Ripon: A new look Warhawk team takes on 2015 MWC Co-POY and preseason All-American Ty Sabin and the Red Hawks.

La Crosse at Augustana: The Eagles travel to Rock Island to take on the National runner-ups. This could get ugly.

Saturday, Nov. 14
Platteville at Lake Forest: The Pioneers travel to Illinois to take on the Foresters. Both teams are predicted to finish near the middle of the pack of their respective conferences.

River Falls at Concordia (WI): The Falcons take on the Falcons in Mequon as River Falls tries to improve on their horrible 2-7 nonconference record from a year ago. It will be a tough start against Concordia, the NACC preseason favorites.

Stevens Point at Superior: The National Champs start their title defense vs a familar foe, but this time as a nonconference opponent in Canada. The Yellowjackets are picked 3rd in the UMAC, just a point behind 2nd place St. Scholastica.

St. Thomas at Eau Claire: The Blugolds host 10-time defending MIAC champ St. Thomas to kick off the season.

Minn. - Crookston at Stout: The Blue Devils host D2 opponent Minn. - Crookston.

There was a season preview when the schedule came out. I'm guessing you meant a recruiting class review, giving us information on each recruit.

The WARHAWKS have released their 2015-16 roster.

As has been discussed there are a lot of new faces.  It's going to take some time to get everyone on the same page so this year's adjustment to the conference schedule is probably going to be beneficial.  It may take a while to get going but in the end I think we're going to have a pretty competitive team.

The team opens the season at Ripon College tomorrow night.  They're relatively young but did return seven players who saw at least nine minutes on the floor last season.  They're guard oriented and are led by junior guard, Ty Sabin.  Sabin, a pre-season All American, is coming of a year in which he averaged 28 points a game and was All MWC, All Region, All American and MWC co-player of the year.   UW-Superior transfer Ty Ketz (YG's second leading scorer last year) has rejoined the team and averaged 14 points last year.

A preview of this year's team.... http://www.uwwsports.com/news/2015/11/11/MBBALL_1111151125.aspx

Chaz Mootz, 6'2" G from Merrill, is heading to UWSP.  I don't know much about him.  He was a unanimous selection to the All Conference First Team that also included Division 1 prospects Trev Anderson and Sam Hauser of Stevens Point.  He averaged about 15 points a game and close to 8 rebounds.  With those rebounding numbers, he must play bigger than he is.  Will be playing on the Division 2 North Team in the WBCA Classic as well.

I'm not trying to correct you, but when I was looking up stuff on him, Wissports.net had him at 18.4 pts a game. I also read he led the Wisconsin Valley Conference in rebounding, at 7.5. That's impressive. 3rd in conference scoring at 16.3 and 2nd in assists at 3.1.
