Sauk Prairie 6'6" Forward Brandon Spray will continue his basketball career at UWSP.  2 Time First Team All Conference in the competitive Badger North, should be a solid get.

If I remember correctly Sauk prairie gave spash a game at sentry classic and he held his own.

Yes, they lost 61-52...SPASH started the game on a 9-0 run and they played even from then on.

Another Wisconsin High school player going the D2 route.  La Crosse Logan 6'6" Forward Chase Johnson will continue his basketball career at Minnesota-Crookston.

Muskego PG Caleb Wagner will pursue basketball at Winona St.  I sure was hoping he'd end up at UWSP.  He'd be a difference maker in the WIAC.

Minneapolis Patrick Henry Senior Julian Jackson will attend UWRF and play basketball.

2 Division 2 transfers heading to UWRF.  Alex Herink played at Minnesota-State Mankato...played a lot for them actually...and Clay Seifert of Bemidji St will be transferring back close to home.  Herink should have 2 years left and Seifert has 3....definitely helps a RF team and gives them a lot more depth.

Is point going to go out and get anyone or settle for 5th again ?

Why do you even post??  You never have anything positive to say anyways.  Your MO is to exaggerate everything negatively towards UWSP and the exact opposite for everyone else in the league.

Yes...Point will have a fantastic recruiting class.

Just seems like everyone else in the wiac is picking up d2 transfers left and right and point has done zilch.  Where is this big transfer they needed that could come in and score 15 to 20 right away?  As of now point has one player that scares you and several role players.  I know their style has worked for a long time but it appears recruiting is on a down slide lately.  I spend enough time in point and know enough people affiliated with pointer basketball that feel the same way.

They are 2 years removed from a National Title, do you even realize that??

They had a D2 transfer visiting last wkd, i'm sure that decision will happen soon.

Greek Tragedy

Gone are the days when Point and Whitewater dominated the Wisconsin recruiting circuit. I think that says a lot to not only the other WIAC schools, but maybe other Wisconsin schools and the surrounding states. Who cares if we don't have any stars on our team? Point only had one 2nd team All-Region member last year. St. Thomas had a 2nd and 3rd team All-Region team member and they won the National Championship this year.

Point is scheduled to win the National Championship in 2020. If they don't and they are pretty far off, I may start being concerned, but probably not.

D3 UWW alum TJ Otzelberger was named head coach at South Dakota State yesterday.

Otzelberger was nearly named the UWM coach last week before UWM chancellor over-ruled the AD and search committee due to a lack of minority hiring in the athletic department.

Otzelberger moves onto the Jackrabbits of SDSU after being an assistant coach at Iowa State for all but 2 years since 2007.
