Things just don't get easier...

Wednesday
Point at Oshkosh
Platte at WW
RF at EC
LaX at Stout

What's crazy is that, if WW had lost tonight but beaten Platte Wed (along with an SP over Osh win), Point would have been looking at a 3+ game lead on the field.

But, alas, it will be at best 2 games with a win over Osh (over the winner of WW/Platte, three over the loser, at least 3 over RF and 4 over Osh) or 2 game with a loss to Osh (over the winner of WW/Platte, two over the loser, Osh, and probably RF).

Just a thought-NCAA holds off on UWSP information until after the season so UWSP doesn't miss the NCAA Tournament if they qualify...

I suspect if it were solely up to the NCAA, it would've been over and done with by now.

In reality, there are only a few people that actually know what is going on with the UWSP NCAA investigation. So that makes the majority of the comments on this board regarding the investigation...let's call it what it is...blind and/or misguided speculation. I just think it would be refreshing for this board to be filled with WIAC basketball talk instead of talk about a drawn out investigation that really isn't too relevant until the final ruling is given. I guarantee the players and coaches in the conference are focusing on basketball this season, maybe we should too.

My number of posts doesn't have anything to do with it. I stated a couple of facts and then gave my opinion, just like everyone else on here does. I didn't detail what could or couldn't be discussed. I just said that "I think.." and "maybe we should too". It was a view from the other side of the coin.

The beauty of a message board is you are free to participate in the topics you wish to, and free to ignore the ones you don't. No need to try and shape the discussion to your preference. If it doesn't interest you, scroll on by.

My usual recommendation to people is, rather than tell us what not to talk about, is talk about something else on-topic. (Or, in the offseason, perhaps near-topic!)

I can't help but agree with hindsight here, atleast to a certain extent. It's pointless to try and tell people what to talk about on a message board...but it's also pointless to talk about a topic that nobody has correct information on. Everything said on the topic of the UWSP investigation is a guess or just a thought. There has been numerous messages from many different people on the UWSP investigation, and nothing has come to fruition with it. It's been said last offseason that there will be closure before the season started...then it kept getting pushed back and pushed back. Nobody knows anything. You can discuss it until you're blue in the face but in reality, you don't know what is going on.

I'd prefer to talk about the conference race as well, it's shaping up to be an entertaining one. UWSP travels to Oshkosh Wednesday, that might be the toughest game for the Pointers yet.

I mean the funniest part is the idea that lack of information or knowledge is a valid reason to not discuss a topic on a message board. Are you familiar with sports talk radio? Ain't nobody on there with a clue about anything.

And since almost everyone here is using an alias, you never know who might and who might not have valid information. That's what makes the discussion and speculation fun. It's all for entertainment purposes. No one here is making policy (or maybe they are!).
