Platteville goes down.

Not only do they go down, but they do so AT HOME. 😔

Wow. Really? I don't think any of us realized that. Thanks for the heads up.  >:( ::) :P :)

Yes, Greek, Really.
And actually, I sense just about everybody but you realized it. 🃏  :-*
I also sense that just about everybody else was smart enough to grasp the real meaning of my post which was that it was surprising that a team enjoying all the advantages of playing at home lost to a team that, primarily due to a weak non-conference schedule, several people felt was only in the tournament because of getting the AQ.

I'm not sure what the seating was like on the benches side of the court, but on the opposite side the NWU fans had one section of the stands compared to, I believe, 4 sections of Platteville fans.

Behind the Platteville bench, the stands were full of UWP students. Behind the NWU bench there were a handful of people who stayed after UWSP was eliminated.

Everything seemed to work against them. Didn't make shots early, got in foul trouble, technical foul on the Pioneers...
NWU earned the W, big shot at the end...good defense by Platteville, better offense by NWU. 34 3's taken by Platteville, tried to force a lot of passes vs the zone. Officials didn't help them and NWU could have certainly been called for a foul at the end of the game.
Whitman wins by double digits tonight...

Can we also talk about the graphics. I know for a fact (since UWP streams through Stretch) they have a version of their streaming software with actual scoreboard graphics. They are doing something ... really weird to create those. Anyone who watches Hoopsville knows what those graphics are supposed to be used for. LOL

As for not having broadcasters (that really ticks me off since I considered going to UWP; wish I had known, may have offered my services and found a way to get there), I had the game(s) on mute anyway. LOL Couldn't handle a few other broadcasters tonight.

Platteville hasn't had broadcasters on their games in a long time...maybe since Combs was the head coach. I also don't believe they have a Sports Information Director. It looks like they only have an assistant who does it. They do have a great photographer though, amazing pictures posted from last nights game.

They have an SID, just the title is different: Athletic Events and Communications. Talked to that office earlier this year to chat about having Coach on Hoopsville.

As for the photographer... you may be talking about the D3photography.com crew that we work closely with. I know they had two photographers there last night.

You were saying...

SO...what I was saying was that NWU is likely going to win the National Championship.

Gee, only off by 43 points. Me thinks it's time to go shopping for a new crystal ball. 🔮 😏

I heard the NWU coach showed that quote to his troops prior to the game last night. 😉
