I try and keep up with recruits and where they commit to, and I try and post all the WIAC recruits on this page...those posts must not get very much attention from people reading the posts.

Nothing against AndOne bringing the info to the board, normally bring some really informative info onto the CCIW and WIAC boards that I've seen.

I hear ya, like I said, I tend to lose track...it doesn't take much... besides, I...hey look, a squirrel!

I hear ya GT....when I get some time I'll post all the recruits I know of onto 1 post.  At this point in the season there are a lot of recruits to keep track of....and still have a bunch more commitments coming.

I apologize for not paging all the way back to Jan. 10 and Jan. 22 before posting the recruit info. 😝

At least AndOne didn't remind us Nebraska Wesleyan was his alma mater or that NCC would've won a game had Raridon been playing last season;D

A minor slip. I'll do better next time.
But, some people DO need several reminders before they're able to absorb and retain the material presented in class! 🙄

Don't have to page back if you periodically check the boards...you do that and you won't miss full pages of posts.  I periodically check the CCIW and the MIAC boards and I post on the WIAC board.

Lucky for you, you'd only have to go back 25 pages. We like to streamline things here. If this was the CCIW page, you'd have to go back 82 pages of nonsense!  ::) :o ;D :P

UWO Titan 78

Very proud of the state of the Titans athletic programs. Final Four appearances in both football and basketball is a great accomplishment! Hopefully the basketball team will bring home the Walnut and Bronze. Watching the game vs. Augie was difficult. The refs were calling things very tight, and the flow of the game was interrupted on almost every possession. The WIAC and CCIW are both very physical conferences. I think things tend to get called more closely on the national stage than they do in the flow of conference games. Hopefully the Titans can avoid foul trouble in Salem. Hail Titans!

I've always thought that as well.  In the national tournament you rarely if ever get an official that works in your league.  The WIAC is very physical and I wonder if officials from other leagues see play like that for the most part.  So things that happen all the time in league games and get called every blue moon get called more regularly in the post season.

That being said it's up to the teams to adjust to the officiating not the officiating to adjust to the teams.

Good luck to the Titans.  GO TITANS, GO WIAC

Crazy thing about that Augie game, in which UWO was called for 29 fouls, is that Flynn didn't get whistled once. Usually it's the muscle in the middle that pays the price in a closely called game, and Flynn's the type of big body that can get whistled taking his warmup off. Yeah, Noone, but big Jack is the engine for that UWO team, IMO. Keep him on the floor and I like the Titans' chances.

Flynn didn't get called for a foul, but the three Augie centers who guarded him certainly did. Two of them (Micah Martin and A.J. Dollmeyer) fouled out, and the other (Donovan Ferguson) finished with four fouls. Some of them were just dumb, obvious fouls outside of the blocks, but most of them were whistled down low and indicated the very tightly-called game that others have mentioned.

Badger - usually the officials are told to whistle the "points of emphasis" during the national tournament.  You get close tricky tacky fouls called and yes, officials from other leagues/states that call the game differently.
In the national semi finals, the officials will call it really tight in the first four minutes. If you do not pay attention and are not the , your team will have problems.  In the final, the officials are "going to let them play" and are instructed to do so.  Even so this done every year, some teams have trouble to adjusting to "let them play".
