I forgot to mention this on the recap show, but will slide it in on Hoopsville this week... sadly, Oshkosh allowed an interesting record run to end. The previous six teams to knock Augustana out of the NCAAs... went on to win the national title. It now stands at 12 of the last 17 as well.

Whitman's streak is still alive, though, NWU made it three champions in a row to knock them out of the tournament.

This year is the only one that now makes it a streak... so "still" alive... eh. Now relevant, kind of, at 3.

Stoutguy-- what do you know about the candidates for the Stout basketball opening? Matt Bowen, former University of Minnesota Duluth coach, is one of them.

Don't know much (what's new) but I know they were disappointed that La Crosse guy is now still a La Crosse guy.  Matt B. is a candidate and I am frustrated that they are asking for at least 3 years of college experience.  To me that eliminates great young HS coaches who want to test the next level even though they might have to take a pay cut to do it!  And by the way, my new favorite team is Northwest Florida State located in Niceville, FL.

I think the WIAC is not an entry-level conference -- makes some sense to me.

Wisconsin Dells 6'8" F, Tanner Brandt, will play basketball at UW-Parkside.  Point, Eau Claire and Parkside made up his final 3, an offer from Parkside was too tough to pass up.

Maybe someday his parents will give him a name. So sad.
