I don't think Grzesk staying at SNC would help him get a potential opening at GB simply because he sticks around the area, if that's what you mean, WW.

I really have no idea "how close" Grzesk has been to getting the GB job or even if he was closer the 2nd time around. But, succeeding at a big school like Oshkosh in a premiere conference like the WIAC is an absolute huge difference than dominating the MWC with SNC, at least in my opinion.

My point is that nothing he does in a year at Oshkosh can help him get the uwgb job. If that's your goal, then why move?

Maybe. But if you're staying at SNC in hopes of getting the GB job, IF it opens, that's the wrong reason to stay. Move on to a "better" job. If the GB job opens up, great, but that doesn't even mean he'd get it. Stay at SNC, the GB job doesn't open up and you may have regrets not taking that job with a more high profile team in a Top 3 conference.

Lets give at least a bit of credit to the Oshkosh Athletic Director, Human Resources Manager, and President, and assume that in addition to whatever other talents they might have, they have enough business sense wherein they wouldn't even hire Grzesk. or anybody else, if it was strongly suspected that the person would say sayonara after just one year. Especially considering all the turmoil that would ensue as a result of such a short tenure.  😏

Mr. Mo

Is it a possibility that any UWO players would follow Juckem to WashU?

Very unlikely. They're at a $16k/yr state u. And I don't get the sense he was so adored there that kids would follow him to a high-priced out-of state private school that's a fraction of the size.

Re Grzesk, I'd just be highly surprised if he made himself a candidate

It goes way beyond any players just wanting to "follow Juckem to WashU."
They first would have to gualify academically at Wash U whose admission requirements/standards are justtttttttttttt a little higher than at a state school. For instance, the average ACT score for admitted Oshkosh students is 22. At Wash U, anything less than 32, and you're not getting in. 🎓

And then there is that thorny little problem in that Jan 15 was the date by which applications for the 2018-19 school year at WU were due.

Not sure what it means to gualify academically. :) Also, why are you spitting all over us?  ;D

Mr. Mo

The size comment peaked my interest.  Oddly enough, the two schools are almost exactly the same size 14.3K total enrollment.

Although graduate student enrollment is 1.5K for UWO and 4.5K for WashU.

LOL. NOT spitting. Just emphasizing the lofty Wash U entrance requirements and the rather large difference between WU's and Oshkosh's (as well as the vast majority of other schools).

** The justtttttttt was taken from the well known Bob Uecker expression "Justtttttttt a bit outside"  :)

I understand that, but Uecker extended the vowel (juuuuuuuuuuuust). Think about what it actually sounds like (and what might land on the person in front of you when you actually say "justttttttttt."

Right. Next time I'll emphasize the front end rather than the rear! 😏
Sorry if I got any on you. 😤

Not current UWO players, but I was told two players from Illinois he was recruiting have now committed to Wash U.

Wow -- I had no idea. That's a lot of 32s on ACTs!
