WARHAWKS trail for 90% of the game but manage to take a 70-69 lead in last 45 seconds.  Unfortunately a hot shooting Ripon Red Hawks team made one more basket and Chislom's baby hook in the lane falls just short at the buzzer.  Ripon 71-70.   Ards finishes with 28. Kale is held to 8 points but adds 8 assists.  Kingsley drops 12 and Chislom 10.  We struggled against their size.  That is likely to be an issue all season.

Next up: Monmouth, Friday

Platteville pulls away in the 2nd half to beat Concordia-Chicago 89-72. Platteville has 5 players score in double figures.

Fred, I caught the first half of the Falcons game with the Yellow Jackets last night and was pretty impressed with the shooting range of #14 and #1 (sorry didn't listen and too lazy to look it up, figure I'll find out soon enough anyway).  They hit some threes from different zip codes.  If they can shoot like that consistently they'll be tough to defend.  Don't know how it ended but the Falcons looked pretty good in what I saw.

BW--yes, they did look good. Not sure Superior is very good, though I see they only lost by six at EC last week. RF shot 60 percent, 12/24 on threes and won. 98-72. No. 14 came from EC North with a rep as a good 3 shooter but did not get a chance to show it as a freshman last year. He hit 5 straight in first half, but they clamped down on him after that. No. 1 is a transfer from S. Dakota, arrived mid year last season and began starting in early January. He is good on D too, and has good all around skills.

The Eau Claire - Whitworth game was a lot of fun and the drama at the end...

Is Oshkosh down a bit from last year? They lost their second straight this afternoon. They have to be less effective at guard after losing the POY. A freshman came off the bench to score 23 to lead them.

WARHAWKS lead by 8 or 9 with 4:20 remaining, score two points the rest of the way and lose to Monmouth.  I think it was 71-66.  It's frustrating to watch.

Early impressions are that it could be a long season.

RF, without Jack Stensgard, over Northwestern 102-93. RF had 5 score in double figures led by Keller and Jackson w/26 and 20 respectively. Both teams shot 48%. Northwestern played very well, but were not as deep as RF with 8 having double figure minutes.
