Have we heard any updates of Fuhrmann?  That was one really terrible injury. I hope the news is positive.

I haven't heard much other than an interview with Coach Dernbach after the game.  He said it was a "gruesome injury."  That's obviously not much of an update but probably indicates a severe injury, well wishes to Will and hope he gets back to 100 percent for next season.

From what I saw, it appeared his foot was not in an anatomically proper position relative to the rest of his leg.  The time it took to get him stabilized and taken off is typical of a pretty bad break.  Really terrible.  Hope he gets back to full strength as soon as possible!

Per the La Crosse Tribune "UW-L starting freshman guard Will Fuhrmann suffered a severe ankle dislocation."

Yeah, that's what I heard as well.  No broken bones.  I'm no doctor, but that feels like good news, given the situation.  I imagine there's still a long rehab process for that.

Great game for Platteville tonight to win the Championship 74-47. The Pioneers were too much to handle with such balanced scoring. They were best team the WIAC had to offer this season in the end. However, they have a lot of reloading to do with seven seniors all celebrating senior night last week. Based on early returns in the class, it looks like they might just do that. It will certainly be a different cast next season though.

I wonder if Miller will ask McKellips to play some basketball in the winter? He had a solid day in La Crosse for the Knights.

6'2" Ellsworth G, Mason Anderson, will play collegiate basketball at Platteville.  He shared Middle Border Conference Player of the Year Honors this year if I remember correctly.

Wow, I'm stunned Cook was the player of the year. All other choices are pretty much right on. I guess Newcomer has to a freshman otherwise Flory or Plamann should've gotten that over Williams.

Yea, I would agree. Not sure about the Cook pick, but congrats. I would guess others in consideration E. Anderson - Lax, Ohde RF, Borchert OSH, Stovall PLT.

I wonder if it was voting was a little bit like "The Office" episode when Oscar wins Best Costume because everyone voted for the least likely choice in order to help their chances.....

I know this is non basketball but I can't find a Football board but it's WIAC related. Lance Leipold (former WW coach) is on a short list to replace Les Miles as Kansas head coach.

Here's where the equivalent WIAC board is! That would be a nice gig for LL.

Has anyone started a list of commitments for 2021-2022?

Also which it will be interesting to know which current seniors will stay for a 5th year.

On another note, I heard UW-Green Bay has 9 players in the transfer portal.

Look back a page.

From the looks of it, it does seem that UWGB is having a mass exodus this off-season.  A possible WIAC player of note...former Sun Prairie PG, Colin Schaefer, who walked on at Green Bay is transferring.  If Schaefer ends up on a WIAC roster, it would be a huge victory for that school.

Probably not worth it to this at this point inbut, what I've been able to gather from last home game broadcasts, notes etc.

Stout: At last home game vs Whitewater Lake said he had all three situations; players still deciding, players coming back for sure and players not coming back for sure. Lake said they will honor seniors at postseason virtual banquet.
Platteville: Honored all seven seniors at last home game. I guess that means they aren't coming back, but you can't be 100%.
Oshkosh: McGlynn was honored against Stout. Muench likely coming back.
Stevens Point: Nelson is coming back if he gets into grad school. Brady Wagner seemed like he's not coming back.
Whitewater: Ards was injured. Probably coming back?
River Falls: No idea
La Crosse: No idea
Eau Claire: No idea. They didn't have a final planned home game.

It's going to be hard to know, as I don't think guys will really announce on Twitter or anything. And this is just the first of four seasons of this.
