Looks like former Northern Michigan commitment, JR Lukenbill, had a change of heart and is going to Whitewater instead.  That's a big time get for the Warhawks.

Gonna be pressure for interim coach to get UWW back to NCAA Tourney this season. They are loaded!

Back to NCAA Tournament? There's more than that. Pressure to win it all.

FWIW whether he is retained on a permanent basis after this season or not will have had nothing to do with whether he wins the National Championship.  That isn't the way WW does it.

Stevens Point has a cool thing going this season.

There have been discussions about other changes at Quandt . . . just discussions at this point.  Nothing further this year as I understand it . . . unless there's changes to bench locations, student sections, etc. From what I understand, those things could happen. Not sure when.

Whitewater got rings for what exactly? Losing their first game in Fort Wayne?

That seems a little odd. I could see it happening like the Brewers celebrating their World Series loss every so often, or the Badgers celebrating their two Final 4 appearances, but Whitewater has won four Natys.

A lot of teams do conference championship rings. Wouldn't expect that from a WIAC school, but you never know.

But you actually won something. A conference championship.

It's just a hunch but I suspect they got rings for reaching Fort Wayne not for losing the first game.   How'd your guys do?

Unfortunately Lions closed up shop here.

Just a general WIAC fan now, trying to enjoy the games and some good ball.

Then why would you take that shot at them?  They not only represented WW but also all of us in the WIAC.  You have no idea of the adversity this team overcame.

You're right that was too harsh, my apologies. Just kind of agreed with Ryan and Greek.

Whitewater has been announcing their incoming recruiting class online the past couple weeks and there seems to be some players who committed who will not be suiting up for the Warhawks next season.

Western Illinois transfer - Jake Fisher
Waubonsee Community College transfer - Jaylyn Kelly
Kettle Moraine - Joah Bodden

These 3 weren't announced.

This is still an extremely deep recruiting class to add to an extremely deep team.  Whitewater, Oshkosh and Stevens Point brought in some of the best and deepest recruiting classes in D3 basketball this year.  It will be fun to compare them a couple years down the road.
