WARHAWKS: 80
Marian: 47

The WARHAWKS used a 10-0 run to build a 19 point lead midway through the first half before Marian went on a 9-0 run to finish the half trailing 34-24 and continued the run 11-3 into the second half to close within a pair 37-35 after the first five minutes.  The WARHAWKS however responded at that point with a 25-0 run of their own and continued to build on that lead to the final.

Chislom: 21 points, 9 rebounds
M.Barnstable: 13 points
Barker: 11 points, 4 assists, 1 steal

Former Marian player the older Barnstable...is he hurt?

yes

Watched the WIAC stream.

Unusual game in that both Quinn Steckbauer and Will Mahoney, the two season leading scorers for the Titans, played sparingly and I don't think at all in the last 10 minutes.  Could be injury or illness. Freshman and sophomores at the end, and they played well. Only senior on the court was Gunnink. I am sure Coach Matt Lewis had a plan. Without an announcer to explain what was going on, the last few minutes of Whistlepalooza was confusing. Might need to watch again.

One other rules question for the board....remember some years back when jump shooters would flail their legs out to attempt to garner fouls?  SNC had one shooter who did it extensively, at least 5x. Wasn't that outlawed, never see it anymore at D3 level. Wasn't effective but sure was obvious.

This officiating crew, that does some WIAC games, needs some practice. I don't think either coach or fan base will be giving them good marks.

Flopping is illegal too and UW-0 almost got away with forcing overtime as a result. I do agree though that the officiating crew was in over their head. That's the best the WIAC can come up with?

Good luck tonight, Stevens Point. Hope we can take down the Warhawks and advance in the tournament!

Whitewater couldn't recapture the magic from last season's postseason run and bow out to Point. I don't think it was a seven game postseason fluke last year. No Miles Barnstable really hurt tonight.

Big win for Point, but their FT shooting nearly killed them. On to River Falls now as Stout upset La Crosse and heads to Platteville. Interesting that Barnstable didn't play. Maybe he got hurt in practice? He played a ton of minutes on Saturday.

Here's what I've got on seniors and senior day for this year.

I found the least information on Eau Claire. But, appears Blair will not use a fifth year. Ijadimbola, Huschka, Tebon, and Hall all could come back for fifth years.

For La Crosse Noone, Furhman, Westra, Gross, Schwartzhoff, and Platz all celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For River Falls Jedwabny, Reeck, Curvey, Holland, Hanson, and Benson celebrated senior day and are done. I believe that leaves Renta, Parker, and Meritt to come back for a fifth year.

For Stevens Point Buchanan, Genrich, and Peterson celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For Platteville Schaff and Nies celebrated senior day and are done. Pearson and Probst going to use a fifth year.

For Whitewater D. Barnstable, Pytleski, Kelley, and Chislom celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For Stout Noll, Fox, Hoffman, Scharlau, Rachner, and Jungel celebrated senior day and are done. Shore in line to use his fifth year or really sixth year if you will.

For Oshkosh Mahoney, Otto, Steckbauer, and Spang celebrated senior day and are done. Gunnink and Adamson in line to use a fifth year.

Corrections/updates appreciated.

Is it me, or was this the weakest top to bottom the WIAC has ever been? Lots of non-conference losses to bordering conferences MIAC, UMAC, CCIW, ARC,NACC. 3 teams below .500, only 2 teams with less than 10 losses.

I don't think it was about parity at a high level in the conference, but mid-level parity.

Lots of new coaches this year, plus lots of 4th, 5th year veterans done after last season may have something to do with it.

"Glad" Falcons are playing Point. Stout is on a roll. WW has failed. No better than 50/50 chance to beat Point.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

Don't know whether I'm back to D3Boards or not, but glad RF is playing Point rather than Stout. Not that it will be easy.
