Quote from: PauldingLightUP on February 21, 2024, 01:52:34 PMHere's what I've got on seniors and senior day for this year.

I found the least information on Eau Claire. But, appears Blair will not use a fifth year. Ijadimbola, Huschka, Tebon, and Hall all could come back for fifth years.

For La Crosse Noone, Furhman, Westra, Gross, Schwartzhoff, and Platz all celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For River Falls Jedwabny, Reeck, Curvey, Holland, Hanson, and Benson celebrated senior day and are done. I believe that leaves Renta, Parker, and Meritt to come back for a fifth year.

For Stevens Point Buchanan, Genrich, and Peterson celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For Platteville Schaff and Nies celebrated senior day and are done. Pearson and Probst going to use a fifth year.

For Whitewater D. Barnstable, Pytleski, Kelley, and Chislom celebrated senior day and are done. I don't think anyone is in line to use a fifth year.

For Stout Noll, Fox, Hoffman, Scharlau, Rachner, and Jungel celebrated senior day and are done. Shore in line to use his fifth year or really sixth year if you will.

For Oshkosh Mahoney, Otto, Steckbauer, and Spang celebrated senior day and are done. Gunnink and Adamson in line to use a fifth year.

Corrections/updates appreciated.

Lots of 4th year guys with a covid year on the list. Are they not using a 5th, or not using their 5th at that school?

Greek Tragedy

I had thought there was talk about Buchanan using a 5th, but I think his diminished role may have something to do with him not returning. He was the best player and a full time starter last year. This year, not so much. I also thought there was talk about him graduating, or leaving, at the semester and then heard he told Coach he was fully committed for the rest of the season. That shows he's a good team player. Takes a lot to swallow some pride and accept a reduced role and not cause problems. I applaud him for that. He's had tough year. There have been times when he couldn't buy a bucket, though he has an impressive 43:18 Ast/TO ratio.

Which Falcon Team will show up tonight? The sixteen point winner or the two point loser? RF split w/Point earlier.

Hopefully the 2 point(or more) loser.

Really? That's cool. Have a good time. Maybe the mayor can get you box seats or a free popcorn. Royalty meets Royalty. To answer the question, hopefully the latter. LOL

Kind of forgot because of the transfer situation, but it would actually be Abdul-Wahid using a fifth year at Point next season.

Casey Eckardt with the emphatic and correct wave off and River Falls survives.

tomt4525

I don't bring up refs often, but wow it was awful tonight. Casey Eckardt needs to retire 10 years ago.

He easily is responsible for about a 10 point swing in RF's favor.  Hard to win on the road going 6 on 5 all game long.

That being said, if this Point team sticks it out, they have a bright future.

1 for 25 is still a batting average.

tomt4525

Funny Eckardt can call that shot off but couldn't call a shot clock violation near the end of the first half on a desperation 3 for RF.  Everybody in the gym saw that didn't leave the hand before the shot clock except the 3 guys in stripes.

Never saw a team try harder to lose than RF did tonite. Absolutely terrible vs the press during the last 3-5 minutes. Very effective press by Point. Great effort from them.  They look quicker than the Falcons.

Do not agree refs gave RF the advantage. Bad calls against both teams. It was a tough game to ref. None of you ref critics could come close to doing as well. The last shot was reviewable and the right call.

On to Pville.

I sat with some RF fans, they don't agree with you.  1 ref in particular was 1 sided all game long.  Take that out of the equation and just make the easy call on the shot clock violation and it goes to overtime.

Platteville out lasts Stout 91-84. Platteville led 41-40 at half. Game went back and forth in the 2nd half. Platteville went on a mini run with about 3 minutes left and made their free throws and played tough defense to hold on to win. Logan Pearson led all scorers with 31, freshman Bristol Lewis came off the bench and scored 15. Brody Fox led Stout with 26. Pearson and Fox put on a show tonight.  I've only seen half of Platteville's games in person this year but Pearson and Fox look like the two top players in the conference.

Two guys in stripes. One tried to get them to overrule.
