I just lose faith in the selection idiots year after year. But, its a different ballgame in D3. Georgia School of Typewriter Maintenance may go 24-2 during the year and not have a conference, and they get in. While WIAC teams beat the heck out of each other all year and get punished for it. I'm sure any of the top 4 teams could get a few wins in the tournament every year, but unless 2 WIAC teams have 23+ wins, it may never happen.

If the Georgia School of Typerwriter Maintenance isn't in a conference, they'd be Pool B, not Pool C, so they wouldn't compete with La Crosse or Oshkosh. lol 

Anyway, it's very disappointing that Oshkosh and La Crosse didn't get in, but we can't look at the tournament through WIAC colored eyes all the time.  Top teams in weaker conferences can be just as good as the #3 or #4 team in top conferences like the CCIW and WIAC.  Last year the WIAC got three in but La Crosse basically got smoked by Calvin (they lost by 8, but I heard it was worse than that) and both Stout and Whitewater didn't make it out of the second round.

Believe me, I think Osh and LC are better than some of the other Pool C teams that got in, but they just won't be able to prove it.

I'm the kind of guy who hops on the conference bandwagon and when my team doesn't make it (Point last year), I cheer for whomever is representing the conference, of course last year it was short lived.  Even if Oshkosh made it in and progressed further than Point (or La Crosse), I'd cheer for them.  In fact, last year, I would've gone out to Salem had any of the three WIAC teams made it out there.  Call me crazy.

I look forward to seeing the brackets tomorrow.  Any WIAC fan is welcome to come to Point and I'll take them out to eat or something, if you can get tickets!  I have to talk to "my people" tomorrow to assure my seats! lol

Oshkosh has no one to blame but themselves.  Losing 3 times to LaCrosse is unacceptable.  The whipping by Whitewater also didn't help. It brings in to question to anyone who doesn't know them well if they have what it takes, e.g. are they well coached, can they adapt, etc. Obviously the committee said no.

I don't know how Oshkosh could have got in before LaCrosse, I had hoped they both would get a bid.  

Its hard for me not to suggest something drastically change in Oshkosh.  This is 3 years in a row when it looked good and then they stumble in the last few weeks.  Damn.

I would love to go to the second weekend of games. got other plans the first weekend (stout women hosting? and gf vball tourny) maybe someone in the Point office can help out a couple guys who help them get to where they are by losing to them twice

Enough about last year dang... I know the WIAC lost in the first weekend I was there (lol).  It was rough but i do think Lax would have done well with tourny expeirence last year.

She should know.  April did sit in a car with me for 14 hours to Salem and I had to "cover her eyes" several times when I had to "make stops" to "take care of some things".  Be careful about asking about "my people"...

What a hose job. I would be interested in seeing how many private schools are in D3 versus public institutions. My impression is there may be an inherent bias against the WIAC because there have been several D 3 winners coming from the WIAC over the past years. The selections are really actually a big joke. There has been a movement over the past few years to split D3 in to 2 tiers. That would be a great idea. They could call it: Contenders and Who? I give up!

I should also just know cause I'm Asian. I actually slept almost the entire time while OS drove the whole way while listening to some seriously random 80s music. That's right, I'm publicly saying that I slept the whole time and saw nothing... I am not an accessory to anything. Whose bright idea was it that we leave at 10 or 11 or whatever it was anyway? I still have no idea how you made it there without crashing! Sure was worth it though... those were some great games!!!
