Not at all.  April made a point over in the MWC page about it sounding weird calling people in person their post up name.  So, she changed her "name" to April Lee, so when posters meet her in person, they aren't calling her Diehardfan.  I mean, I'm not going to call you DBshotblocker when I meet you or Stout Survivor when I talk to your brother, I'm going to call you Jacob and John.  So, she kind of has a point.  Though I guess it's cool to be known as "Old School", I'd have no problem people calling me by my adopted name.  I guess it just by-passes the question, "What's your real name" when posters meet and gives me a better chance of remembering their real name.  Besides, I still have Old School as part of my handle! lol

"old school" is more then just a name, it's an icon, larger then life (larger then Jake and I).  But if the all-american wants to change his name who am I to say other wise.

I think the real question now is whether I need to stop calling him Tom in person and start calling him Tommy D....

I love that the twins are so traumatized... that's so cute. Tom, you have fans! If it makes you feel better guys, he can always change it back.

I wonder if people will still try to abbreviate my name. So as opposed to DHF I'll be AL.... AL is definitely a guys name, and I am certainly not a guy. On the other hand, as my brother and I used to always point out when we were tots, AL stands for American League, and NL (his initials) stand for National League... And the AL is the home of the best team in Baseball, the Orioles.

I wish you people would stop changing your screen names.  It's very confusing.
