wcbsas,
I freaking care about the Simpsons.

Some of my favorite all-time Ralph quotes:

Ralph Wiggums: Hi SuperNintendo Chalmers!

Ralph: Me fail English? That's unpossible.

Ralph: When i grow up, I want to be a principal or a caterpillar

Ralph: Oh boy! Sleep! That's when I'm a Viking!

Miss Hoover: Now, take out your red crayons.
Ralph: Miss Hoover?
Miss Hoover: Yes Ralph?
Ralph: I don't have a red crayon.
Miss Hoover: Why not?
Ralph: I ate it.

Then this Homer classic:
Homer: Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.

Pointspecial,
I've never said this about a WIAC fan and I doubt I ever will again, so take this as a supreme compliment: You my friend are a genius.

Let's not forget Monty Burn's advice on how to become a success in business.  I'll bet wcb doesn't like this one much......

Mr. Burns: I'll keep it short and sweet -- Family. Religion. Friendship. These are the three demons you must slay if you wish to succeed in business.

I'm still thinking about Eric Estrada.  Is that wrong?

I just can't believe I threw a Stripes quote at him and he responded with a lame TV show.  (OK, so I watched CHiPs, too.  I admit it!  Happy?!)
"That seems silly and pointless..." - Hoops Fan

JustBill -

bulk19 to the rescue... Since I'm old enough to remember that show, and to get EE off your mind, I'll divert your attention instead to Randi Oakes, CHiPs officer Bonnie Clark... google her pics for a refresher...

And as Homer Simpson might say: mmmmm police officer...

No offense...but actually, I really don't care about the Simpsons.  I'm not saying I don't care for the Simpson's, I just don't watch them!  I'm don't like them and I don't not like them.  I've only seen a handful of episodes and I can't really say what I was doing instead of watching the show!  I'm not familiar with most of the characters and I don't know virtually any of the quotes you guys are spouting off.  That's just how it is.  I'm not "looking forward" to seeing the movie, just like I wasn't looking forward to see Evening or License to Wed.  My girlfriend wants to see it, so I'm sure that's the only reason I'll go.  With that said, I don't care what's discussed in the off-season, or even during the season.  If I don't want to partake in a conversation, I'll refrain from posting anything.  There are only a few subjects that I would actually object to and voice my opinion on and when that day comes, I'll do it.  Otherwise, it's entertaining and it livens up the board a little, especially in the off-season.

wcb: You've made some good basketball posts before -- that's usually a better way to change the subject than to complain about what pieces are talking about.

The WIAC board has risen to a higher cerebral level than it has in years.    :o

A Haiku dedicated to the more cerebral members of WIAC message board...

Homer Jay Simpson
Salmon Chase Warren Burger
Felix Frankfurter.

Mr. Ypsi

My kids think I named my Honda minivan 'Homer' due to the Simpsons.  Someday they may understand that I feel that authors should get proper credit (it is an Odyssey, afterall ;)).

Though, regardless of make or model, my next vehicle may be 'Lisa' - she's cool! ;D

Last year's top men's team in the Gus Macker tournament in Eau Claire defended its title this weekend, with the winning roster including two former Blugolds - Will Green and Jason Larson, along with UW Wisconsin's Roy Boone, and Troy Wilbon... They defeated a team of former Blugolds - Casey Drake, Will Jefferson and Ryan and Jesse Breidenbach...

Jared Supalla, Zack Ryan, Dan Beyer, Spencer Peck (dunk contest winner) also have Blugold ties, along with Jordan Kappen, James Bowman and Jacob Schlub...

UW Superior recruits Shane Manor, Dan Culy and Jake Smith also participated...
