any interesting Stout facts that i could use in my intro tonight?

Try to catch up with the Stout radio crew. Stoutguy will fill up any and all empty air time you have. (will be hot air though)

No go, flash. The radio guys will be in River Falls for the women's game.

UWRF is going to need to see me baseline at Johnson Fieldhouse for the inside scoop.  8)

Some questions about the Whitewater team

I know that Goodwin and McKay are transfers, but where did they transfer from???

Thanks!
Goodwin came from Univ of the Pacific. From what I've been told, he played  JC for 2 years and got a scholarship to Pacific but was red/gray shirted and never played there.

Mike McKay came from UWM. Not sure what his story is .

Glad both choose UWW.
Look back at the previous page......  I tried to answer it there.

Just a rumor coming out of UWRF, but a sad one if true:  Jontae K lacks financial resources to have his knee injury treated properly.

That was the women's score for UWO-WW.  UWO men defeated WW

buf--that makes more sense.

Falcons had 2 guys w/double-doubles: Wright had 13 pts., 13 rbds.; Robertson 12 pts., 10 rbds. Five guys in double figures: D.J.Reese and Davis w/11, Kelly w/16. Falcons outrbd. BD's 45-36.

EC beats P-Ville in OT 77-69 ... Beyer w/ 29 ... but the real story is Freshman Ryan Shea .... all over the stat sheet w/ key steals and blocked shots. EC now has won 5 in a row ....2-0 in the WIAC.

River Falls 79, Stout 72

Eau Claire 77, Platteville 69 OT Game Story

Oshkosh 80, Whitewater 74 Game Story

Stevens Point 76, La Crosse 61 Game Story

I went to the Oshkosh v Whitewater game.  Pretty good game to watch.  I'll post more tomorrow.

From the Point game:

Stevens Point dominated the paint with a 24-4 scoring advantage down low and a 19-14 rebounding edge. [in the first half]

Isn't that an oxymoron? lol  ;D

The Kerry Gibson fallout.

Too bad the original doesn't survive online. I hope those of you who attended the game tonight picked up a hard copy of the paper because I don't think it will be available again, thanks to an editor caving.

There are many more. Here are the Google search results for "Kerry Gibsonas," as he's known in Lithuania. If anyone knows Lithuanian, indulge us. I'm pretty sure I know what the gist is, but curious to see how one-sided it is.

Point looked very sound tonight.  They came close to putting the game away late in the first half, building a 22 point lead.

La Crosse showed a lot of character by fighting their way back into contention.

It was a pretty good game, but I don't think La Crosse has the stuff to beat any of the top three teams in the conference.

Mr_Downtown

The Gibson fallout is very funny to me.

Not for Gibson's comments, but for the Advance-Titans luck.

See, I call it Karma, and if anyone has constantly been reading or following up on the Advance-Titan, it's pretty easy to see that most of their writers are all about writing something that is funny for them, and their friends. Pretty much elminating what the general public think...

And now, a simple article between friends is now subject to criticism.

Sweet. Payback is a _______ for the AT. Perhaps now, they will take things a bit more seriously when they do their reporting, cause now not only have they hurt the paper's reputation, but now they have damaged Kerry's image to a degree with the country he play's in.

Hardy har har. Jerks.

(P.S. For anyone wondering why I'm kinda harsh, this stems from a "Funny" article they wrote about Oshkosh students love of Oshkosh sports by having a "poll" in which they wrote "4% - Yeah, I Love The Titans! I express my love with my LAME PERSONALITY on my WRST Shows and Titan Sports Broadcasts. "

And if you have ever read the bottom of my posts, you can tell that gets me a bit upset. Just a bit... >:( )
