I think its the same Rod Popp, JJ.

To add to Brian's excellent post:

Zach Malvik also is joining the same team.

The team is based in a suburb of Melbourne.

I'm sure Kerry Gibson is jealous.

FYI, Kerry has switched teams. Over Christmas he moved to the Romania team. From what I understand, that would be a step down (lower league) but better for him under the circumstances with his previous team. Let's all wish him the best and hope he stops writing his old Oshkosh buddies.

But since you've asked.

Skemp, Perry, Marsh, Goodwin and Beyer.
You don't have Dwight Hill in your starting five?  You are really missing the boat. ;D

I'm not saying Goodwin is the guy that Hill should replace on BW's team (although that is the only difference beween our teams)......  I was just giving Hill's numbers to show how well he has played up to this point.  It is everyone's opinion who the Top 5 guys are.  He can have his team and I will have mine.

One can make a argument that it would be pretty easy to pick at least 8 out of the 10 1st Team selections and have most people in agreement this season.

And I wouldn't argue that Hill isn't a good player because he is.  If I were picking the team by position he'd probably be among my starting five.  But so would Goodwin.

Goodwin by the numbers:
Scoring: 20.7 (1)
Rebounds: 4.4 (T17)
Assists: 1.7
FG%: .511 (15)
3pt FG%: .429 (10)
FT%: .767
3pt FG/game: 2.57 (5)
Assist/TO ratio: .7
Steals/game: 1.14 (T11)
Minutes: 35.00 (7)

Of course when comparing numbers you have to take into account the fact that the two play different positions and fill different roles on their respective teams.

changing gears, what are the general thoughts of the packers losing to the giants.

Greek Tragedy

I would guess Goodwin is a shooting guard since Koski would probably be the point guard.  But, what is Hill?  He's listed as a foward in the Point boxscore but listed as a guard on the Superior webpage.  He's hardly a point guard because he shoots so much.  Would Culy be the point guard then?  Not real sure how that would work.  I'd almost consider them both shooting guards.

I am in the middle of Giant country where everyone knows that I am a Packer fan, so my thoughs ...... I felt as if I should stay in my apartment till Feb 4th.  But this morning I went to coach at the local high school and recieved a lot of "jokes" from the kids.

I did turn it into a motivation where any team can and will win if they are willing to work hard enough for it and that wins are earned and not given..... even if you have the greatest quarterback of all time (WHY FAVRE WHY DID YOU THROW AN INT IN OT)

So yup.... I think it sucks
You are only as good as the people around you.

He's listed as a guard on Superior's website  roster and played the point against us.   Point guards are allowed to shoot particularly if they shoot as well as Hill does. ;)

On the PACKER thing.  I think it sucks.

When it comes down to it, the Giants played better yesterday and deserved the win.

Favre's OT interception was a huge blow, but I thought the key point in the game was when the Giants scored in a long drive where the Packers committed something like four penalties, including one that negated an interception.

Two of the penalties came on unsuccessfull third downs.  We had that drive stopped twice outside of field goal range but for the penalties.   I could live with Harris's illegal contact that negated his interception but the roughing the quarterback penalty on Collins was simply stupid.

The Gaints were the better team.  I can't stand Eli Manning but he played a very good football game.

The Packers still had a GREAT season and went far beyond were I had hoped before the season.

Was it me or did Eli Manning NOT look particularly cold? I think Archie bought his boy a cryogenic chamber to practice in; he looked too comfortable for -23 wind chill. Farve looked cold.

Hell, I was shivering just watching.
