Why are we talking about Kevin Martin stats.  Not even the one who went to WW.

No doubt that WW wouped up on Sup.   Listened to the womens game a little and it was a 51 point blowout.  Suprising without Perry.  But then again, suprising without Jason Price.  But then again, it's U DUB DUB.

Can't wait to make it to a game.  The other day when Plattville did in the hawks, I was there at the end and heard that Skemp scored 30.  And then Coach Combs was pretty excited after the game, so I knew it was a loss.  No dominant team makes for an exciting end of season and playoffs.  Playoffs????  Playoffs?????

GO HAWKS.

I hate to see what happened at the end of the first half, too.  Point had the ball for the last shot.  They took the shot with SIX second left... and missed, leaving Oshkosh time to not only take a three, but to get the rebound and putback.
You are actually a little off here.....

Point got the ball with 0:41 seconds left, so UWO was going to get another possession.  The only reason I remember this, was because TVD sent Schrimpf to the scorer's table to check in while Point was bringing the ball up the floor.  (There was never a deadball, so Schrimpf didn't get in.)  Point actually ended up taking the shot with about 0:07 left on the game clock in the half, just before the shot clock expired.  DSA rebounds the missed shot, gets it to Miller who ends up heaving a 28-30 footer just before the buzzer.  What shouldn't be overlooked is DSA's hustle down the floor follwoing Point's miss which allowed him to be in position to tip in Miller's miss as time expires to give UWO a five point halftime advantage.

Oh, by the way, Point has won 5 straight WIAC games. Again, it was inevitable that the Pointers would be back.
That just menas they are due for a loss right? ;)
Or that they're getting USED to winning...  Speaking of trends... Oshkosh has lost 5 of their last 10... sounds like they're getting USED to losing!
Guess you can make that 5 out of 11 now.....

Speaking of trends....  UWO has now beat Point in four out of the last five meetings....  Sounds like the the Pointers are getting used to losing to the Titans.... ;D

He injured his "good" knee in Eau Claire on Wednesday night.....  The talk is he may have came back from his previous knee injury a little too soon, which may have caused this injury to occur (hyperextension.)

Another tough loss for Point

First off, a couple of comments regarding posts tonight.  I, for one, always try to post a game report and my thoughts after EVERY game, win or lose.  I find it amusing how much the Oshkosh posters come on and ramble on about a game when they win.  When they lose, it's a two-sentence post, not explaining possiblities why they lost, what went wrong, how well the other team played or anything.  I mean, I don't recall many posts regarding their loss at Lawrence on Tuesday.  Of course, when they win, there are 10-paragraph posts on how great Oshkosh is and how "medicore" the competition is.  Maybe I'm just crabby because Point lost or maybe I have sorry grapes because Oshkosh beat us again, I don't know...that's the trend I see.  I realize it was at home so more fans saw the game, but I would think fans listen to away games too. But, alas, I digress...

I guess Oshkosh has Point's number like Lawrence has Oshkosh's number.

There have been enough "game reports" on the Oshkosh game, so there isn't any need for me to post what's already been posted.

Oh, one last thing, learn how to rebound.

Sorry about this being the first UWO game I've seen since Platteville, which I'm pretty sure I commented on. Wish I had not missed my first LU/UWO game in about seven years. If I hadn't I'm sure I would have had something to say.

Do you think Point is better than a 4- or 5-seed without Pete Rortvedt? That to me is mediocre. One game does not a season make. Perhaps I should wait and see how the team evolves without Rortvedt over the next few games before coming to a conclusion about how that injury affects Point, but even the most avid Pointer fan would have to admit that was a middling performance tonight. Granted, an adjustment period is to be expected. I may have jumped the gun a bit.

Attribute some of it to playing on the road or just a bad game and/or gameplan. Whatever the case, that's not a No. 7 team in the country nor a top-two team in the WIAC. That was my point.

It's OK to be crabby when your favorite team loses. I'll make sure to keep the recaps shorter when I watch my favorite team crush the No. 7 team in the nation and arguably UWO's biggest rival  ;).

Don't let my crabbiness effect your posting.  ;)

When the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams are 7-2, a "four seed" 6-3 isn't mediocre, IMO.  If that is mediocre, there are 5 teams under Point that would love to be that.

Oshkosh 73, Stevens Point 61

La Crosse 72, Eau Claire 65

Whitewater 86, Superior 55

Yes, Old School, you do come off a bit crabby.  But how about thinking about me for a minute?  I come back from Mexico to crappy weather, I'm still near the bottom of pic em, thanks, Jake for not getting your picks in, as that at least helps, and my team still sucks.  Now those are some things to be crabby about.  Jack Bennett was on our show Sat. as was Pat Coleman and they were both great.  See, now I'm trying to get out of my crabby mood.

Mr. Downtown

I have a couple of questions after this weekend:

1.) What's going to happen with Superior's ejections? Any possibility of suspensions? Was it really brutal and out of hand?

2.) Why did Skemp only take 3 shots, and scored 2 points against Stout? Is this a strategy from Coach Paul Combs? One game let Skemp dominate the world, and the next let him be a decoy?

3.) Concerning a recent post, and I think it's a good question, does Whitewater really miss Jason Price?

It wasn't brutal, but yes it was out of hand. Superior's players are not tough enough to be brutal ;D.   They looked and played just like they were being coached---like little children.

3.) Concerning a recent post, and I think it's a good question, does Whitewater really miss Jason Price?

ummm--- not at all--very easy question to answer :D

He only took 3 shots, because those were the only clean shots that he had available.  Stout was collapsing and double teaming Jeff even before he touched the ball.  When he did get in the post, the perimeters were making good cuts and getting to the open spot for good shots.  As evident by the 28 by Lohoff and 20 from Hanson.  Good to know that Jeff was smart enough and a good enough team player to realize that he didn't have to "get his".  He passed very well out of the post, defended well, and rebounded so I think it was definitely a positive game for Jeff and the Pioneers.
