If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Perry played in 14 games.

That will be too many to get a medical redshirt.  20% is the cutoff.

The first and still most accurate description of the D3 Championship BeltTM thread.

A couple of weeks ago (River Falls game) I was sitting near a UWW TV announcer when he said that Perry would try to be back by the first round of the playoffs....seeing as Rob was still in a walking boot last week it doesn't appear that he will be back by tomorrow

Greek Tragedy

Well, in the world of "what have you done for me lately," I think some of the picks were justified.  After looking at Pete Rortvedt's stats the last 10 games or so (doing my Pointer profile for the tourney page), I failed to realize what he's done recently and was pleasantly surprised.  I'm a big Bryan Beamish fan, but he was also a surprise on 1st team, IMO.  I thought DSA would be on it for sure and he was left out.  DSA had a lot better numbers than Beamish, but as you said, maybe they looked beyond numbers.  Interesting new category.  I would have liked to see an All-Defensive Team like the women have.

Anyway, congrats to everyone.

Of course, I heard from a poster that listened to Stoutguy's radio show on Saturday morning, after interviewing Pat Miller, that Matt Goodwin, who hadn't played all week due to a concussion, was doubtful in the WIAC Final.  Guess what, he started and played 35 minutes.  ??? ::) :P

What about Beyer?  He's listed as a Senior.

Yes, Beyer is listed as a Senior.  However, during his freshman year, he got injured and he only played in the first 7 games that season, I believe.  So he is getting a medical redshirt.

Yep, and 14 is 20% of 70.  28+42=70.

I read that post also.
The poster was not correct. Miller said ----Goodwin had to be cleared by a doctor which would not happen until later in the day----  and even if he was cleared they would still have to determine if the Point game was worth the risk. I guess it was ;)

from the coaches mouth -- perry out for at least two more weeks, that will pretty well take care of the season. and he is a senior eligibilty - season is over --  Hawks have 8 juniors on current roster and will be one of the OLDER teams next year -- Sup started 4 fresh and 1 soph. if all return should look to climb in Wiac most squads have a good core returning should make for another bang up year  ::)
