Mr. Downtown

The difference between #2 and #3 may be insignificant, the Badgers second round game will be against some of the best young talent in the country against Kansas State or USC.

I don't see the Badgers getting farther then the second round.

London I think left for personal reasons.  Aubrey graduated the year he left too, I asked him at a bar once why he left but can't remember exactly why he left.  I think the team survived and had a good year w/o him.  Grades, who knows.

I would be surprised too if the Badgers get out of the first weekend.  OJ Mayo or Beasley, pick your poison.  Should be a good slate of games though.  In one bracket I have Sconny upsetting G-town, but I'm an idiot but I hope for the best out of a Bo Ryan team.  You never know with these college kids.  Rankings and numbers don't mean a thing if Butch is hitting threes and get one guy hot you can ride him to the title.

For what it's worth, the best game I ever saw a Bo Ryan-coached team play at UW-Platteville was an 85-53 dismantling of Augsburg and Devean George in the NCAA playoffs. The future NBA-er got his points (28), but the rest of the team was overwhelmed by the Pioneer defense. Should the Badgers get to the second round, I'd like to see their defense not against Mayo or Beasley but the other four guys that K-State or USC puts out there. But being a true Pioneer/Badger, I'll worry about Cal State-Fullerton first!

I know Mayo and Beasley are phenomonal talents, but I don't think it's very likely that one guy can beat this Badger team singlehandedly.  I think they are way to good on defense to let that happen.  If a couple of their teammates step up and start scoring in bunches, then that will be a different story.

WIAC getting a little love with Rick Bowen (River Falls) being honored.  I always enjoyed playing his teams and the couple times we talked.

Looks like some of the Badger players already have plans in case of an early exit again this season......

One would think that there would be a pretty good amount of former WIAC players involved as well.

Cubs,

Is Kamps the guy that transfered at the semester?  Keep me informed on this little tourney.  Of course I'm interested that Kalsow is playing, and I'd like to see the full rosters when they come out.
