I see that UWW Plays some school from Michigan on Wednesday night.  Does anyone know anything about these guys.

You could start with their schedule and results, which we post on the site for your edification:

Benoitwi, I am an Olivet grad ('67), and worked there from 1972-80.

I don't know anything about the current team.  The program has been up and (mostly) down over the years.

I was hoping to attend the game, but I have a meeting in La Crosse tomorrow afternoon.

The college is affiliated with the United Church of Christ and has been around since before the Civil War.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I know their head coach is Kurt Soderberg, brother of Brad, former coach at Northland and Marquette High.  That's about as much help as I am.

Please, Greg, that's AN Ypsi (the Y is pronounced as though it were an I) ;D

Wow, first there's the Cabonney Rule, now to get chastised for lack of research is to be "Ypsi-ed'!  I'm famous (or at least infamous; in this celebrity culture, is there any difference?)! ;)

Well Folks it seems that you all assumed that I had not checked out all of the other websites when the reality is that I had.  I asked a very open ended question to see if I could learn something that wasn't easy to find.

After looking at the box score it seems that our loyal WIAC zebras where the reason we did not have a lot of stress in this game.  I do know from looking at the season stats this team had not committed 27 foul against anyone else they played so I am going to have to assume that we had a fair bit of help tonight.

Perhaps it would've been easier to go to the MIAA post up page, since that's the conference Olivet plays in.  Not sure if you had tried that.   ???

Well, saw this over in the MWC page and to get some conversation going, I'll pose the same question:

Game on the line, who do you want to have the ball (current player)?

Best current and recent (last 5 years) scorer and shooter, I guesss there is a difference

for my lax squad it would be chris ask.  he is the one that creates and gets the offense in flow.

If I'm going with a homer pick, I'll take Jon Krull.  He has the lightning quick spin move on the baseline that he can score on.  If he gets fouled, he's a decent free throw shooter.  If he can't get the shot off, he's a great passer (4 assists/game) and if he misses, he's a solid rebounder (6.4 reb./gm)!

Best pure shooter would be another homer pick in Nick Bennett.  He could hit a "3" from anywhere.  He was unconscious in both national championship games.  Best scorer would probably be Rich Melzer.  It could be Vince Thomas, but I honestly don't remember him much and only saw him a couple of times.

OS,

I've been trying to get the Devils to play the Haskell Indian Nation in any sport for a couple years.

Based on last Saturday's game at Oshkosh, I guess I'll be a homer and pick Adam Chandler as my guy because the game was on the line with seconds to go and he did make the big shot at the buzzer.  :)

I'll throw another question out.

How do people like the WIAC going back to the Wednesday home/away format vs. the Tuesday/Wednesday set-up like last year?
