I was glad to see that the league agreed that the refs blew the call.

McKay makes the second of two FT's to tie the game at 69 with :21 remaining.  Points ball with a chance to win in regulation.

Rortvedt misses a 3 with a couple seconds left - desperation 3/4 court shot by Goodwin hits the rim after the buzzer.  We're going to OT in WW.

Nice work UWW, two big wins this week.  Didn't get to go to the games, but I'm sure they were awesome to be at (big crowds from what I heard on the radio, enthusiasm to say the least might have helped them).

No stats from this guy...off to the Badgers.

Per radio account...

-El-Amin hit a layup with 35 seconds left for a 78-77 UWSP lead.
-UWW timeout
-McKay drove the lane but missed a short one with less than 10 second left. The rebound was batted around until UWSP's Beamish attempt to slap the ball out to drain the clock, but it went right to Kingsby who hit a three with 1.1 seconds left.
-UWSP threw long to Beamish who got an OK look but it didn't go.

That was an incredible game at Kachel....great crowd...Tom Oates from the Wisconsin State Journal was in the house along with Potrykus

Missed FT's cost the Pointers dearly in this one. Could have won it in regulation with a couple of made FT's by Moses, but 1 & 1 equaled none in that case. (I think the student section caused that miss, they were loud!!) Crowd was electric, biggest Point contingent I've seen down there. Point needs to win out to keep the HC advantage which will be BIG!

There were missed Ft's on both sides at the end of regulation. Did you forget McKay missed a couple, too, that could've ended it in regulation, as well?  The two misses that cost the Pointers dearly, were the 2 by Krull with 2:30 left in OT.  Funny, those were the last FT attempts of the game.

Big free throw disparity (Mckay 35 points and 10 of 12 from the line) and SP outrebounded 44-23, wow.  2100 person crowd there, just reading the script of the game, sounded like a classic and a big win and one we needed. Now we just need P-Ville to upset Point, but who knows who can get the #1 seed?  Muddled at the top and muddled at the bottom to say the least, but at these moments I wish I was still in school.

GO HAWKS!
