Also, has anyone heard if Jason Ziemer from Verona has made a decision yet?
From what I was told, he decided on Platteville, HOWEVER there is some talk that he may be going with Combs to Nebraska as well.....

Wow!  Big changes at Platteville.  Interesting to see how they get through it.

In recruiting news---

I've heard that Whitewater will be picking up Cam Hill, a very talented and steady guard from Lincoln Way East In Illinois.

I think that Jason Ziemer would be a good fit in Nebraska! I think he would be a good D-2 player.

It sure will be interesting to see who fills the Platteville and Stritch jobs. It might shake up  some of the other jobs in the state. Potential openings at Edgewood, Superior, or other places.

Now that Jimmy Whitehead has made the decision to go to Mankato, does anyone know where Jack Taylor is thinking of going? If I had to bet, I would say Winona State or Mankato with Whitehead.

He looks like a good shooter in the video but one thing I noticed is that he was only defended on one of half dozen three-pointers on the video.    The other times he's got plenty of time to spot up, eye the basket and shoot.  He won't get that much time very often.  Plus one has to wonder if he can dribble, rebound and defend.

I have a source that told me former UWGB Head coach and Washinton State assistant Mike Heideman will be throwing his name in the ring for the job.....

It appears that Ziemer changed his mind when Coach Combs left for Nebraska, unless of course my source was incorrect the whole time..... :-\

Anything new on the Platteville coaching situation?  I keep hearing that Will Ryan has the inside track.

Brian Carroll

Boston 1113

My best guess is that Will Ryan will get the UWP job. He is the best pick marketability/business wise for the program. Plus he can call a great mentor at any time to get some advise..

Really good pick up for Point to get Jason Ziemer. He will be an all-league guy within two years.

Anyone hear anything on the Strich job? Also any new recruiting news?

I would put my money on Todd Adrian from Edgewood, to me its the most logical and most realistic.

The Cardinal Stritch University Director of Athletics, Pat Clemens, has announced the hiring of Drew Diener as the new head coach of the Wolves men's  basketball program on Monday morning.

The native of Fond du Lac, Wis., comes to Stritch after having served as an assistant coach at the University of Virginia where he coached under Dave Leitao for the past two seasons.  Prior to coming to the bench as an assistant, he was the Cavaliers' director of men's basketball operations for two seasons after leaving DePaul University where he held the same post as a graduate assistant for the Blue Demons program.
