Coach Buchanan

Gentlemen,

For clarificaation I have not applied for the Platteville job. I do appreciate the kind words from "Stoutguy", but the "rumors" are false.

We have a great group coming back at Superior with some nice additions too, and are very excited about next year!

I certainly appreciate the passion and interest all of you have in the WIAC and I enjoy following your topics. However, the "reliable sources" for this particular topic are way off base. If you are looking for me in Platteville next year, I will be there on December 5th for our game! In fact it will be the first WIAC game for their new coach!

Go Yellowjackets!

I have a few comments and questions to add to the current conversation.

-Will Jeff Gard follow Coach Combs to Wayne State if he does not get the Platteville job?  Or has Coach Combs already hired an assistant?

-Why would Will Ryan leave North Dakota State and go to Platteville when I believe that he will ultimately end up back at Wisconsin with his father in the next couple of years?

I had a very reliable source tell me a Head Coach from within the league, has applied for the Job at Platteville.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out who???

Superior?

Right on Flash, as usual.   Dave Buchanan did apply at Platteville after being passed up at Cardianl Stritch and should be a shoe-in if Platteville has any kind of clue.  Great coach.   Would be an awesome fit at Platteville.

Way to blow your credibility Stoutguy.  :D    If there is a WIAC coach who's applied I'll guess Eddie.  :D ;) ;)

Seriously I'm reasonably confident that it isn't Miller.

It's amazing the how the number of guys that come on here and post false information has increased in the past few months.

In the past, the majority of the information has been pretty reliable, but lately it's getting to the point where it seems like it is April 1st nearly everyday of the year for some of these guys. ::)

My reliable source was not that reliable, I guess.  Well, I stand by my comment that Coach B. would have been a great fit at Platteville.  Coach B., I hope you will still talk to me.

Coach Buchanan

Stout guy,

I will still talk to you!  :)

All my best,

Dave

Stoutguy,

Whats the chance of Eddie looking at this job?  Honestly, I would think that would be right up his alley and would do a terrific job down there...you have the inside in Menomonie, whats the poop?

Rumor has it that Grezek, the SNC coach has thrown his name in the mix for the opening at UW-Plattville.  Not sure how much strength his bid might have with some of the bigger names being discussed, but he could be an interesting dark horse canidate.

You didn't read my mind, but I did think about this possibility as well.  Also, your own coach could also a candidate?  I don't think it's any secret that a move from the MWC to the WIAC is a step up and I was trying to figure out coaches in the MWC that would "qualify" for a move to the WIAC.  Grzesk's name was the first to pop into my head.  DePagter was the 2nd.  Not sure if either are likely since they haven't been with their respective teams very long.

Sorry.  I just got shot down regarding my inside information.  Think I will lay low for a bit.

This is off topic, but I went to the first track meet at our new stadium today.  It is really nice.

Grzesk isn't going after the Platteville job.
