Could not attend Falcon/BD game, but a quick perusal of the stats, especially the turnovers (Stout w/25, RF w/10) leads me to think that Stout played one of their poorest games. They certainly have not had higher than 25 turnovers in previous games. And only 10 for RF suggests that if Stout is still employing the full court press as much as in previous years, those numbers demonstrate pretty good ball control on the part of RF.

Stout came into the game leading the league in steals (all five starters in the top 15), but only able to get 3 steals vs. RF. What's up with that, stoutguy?

If RF wouldn't have shot the ball so poorly in the first half they would have won by about 25.

Stout got called for a few too many travels.

Stout was shooting it anytime they got their hands on it.

UWRF.  Can't disagree with any of your 3 comments regarding the game.  I'll add a 4th generalization: We sucked, you didn't.  Now, for Fredfalcon, a couple questions of my own: I've been to home and away games for YOUR team already this year.  Does the "Big Shot Mayor" not attend games anymore?  Second question.  I should have probably asked Rick Bowen last night but I'll ask you instead: What's up with 2 dollars for a bottle of WATER?  Is the fundraising for the athletic complex not going well?  Kind of reminds me of a few years ago when everyone got charged an extra buck at the RF/St. Johns football game because there would be a nice crowd of Johnnies showing up. 8)

Pioneer/Blugold game was a good one last night, as expected.  The score ended the way I thought it should have, but really doesn't do justice as to how close the game really was.  Eau Claire is a very scrappy team, and was able to keep the game close with hustle points, and defensive miscues leading to easy layups.  I am wondering though how this game would've ended up is Ryan Shea didn't go down with an ankle injury in the first half.  He did return in the second half, but was limping noticeably.

The Blugolds tried two different schemes last night ot slow the Pioneers on offense.  First they double and triple teamed Skemp in the post, which opened up the game for Shaw and Lohoff on the perimeter.  Then they went one on one with Skemp, which he was able to get Beyer and Fofana (who resembles I.M Fletcher) into foul trouble.

Should be a good game at Zorn.  Always tough to travel to Zorn.  I personally always liked playing there, including the broom closet we dressed in up in the attic.  ;D

Greek Tragedy

Good to see that Rortvedt is back, though his shooting hasn't improved!  There's a big threat when he's out there, so just having him on the floor is a plus even though he shot 4-12.  Beamish had a pretty dominating game, scoring well, actually rebounding and having a presence on the defensive end with four blocks.  Jenkins and Sweeney with 17 each...wow, where did that come from?  Great to see some production from other than the usual suspects.

Lawrence University has selective game admission too.  Not sure if it happened this year, but in the past, LU would charge just for the Pointer game, the Grinnell game and the Ripon game.

Okay, I suppose, but it just reminded me of how nice it is when we come to WW and the nice, elderly man always brings us a bottle of water.  He is such a nice old fella. 8)

UWRF

You know on the water bottle question... It seems to change everyone once in a while.  I have bought two bottles of water during games and paid a different price for each.

$2 the first time and $1 the second, so I am a little interested to hear that the price went back up.  I didnt buy one last night.

Maybe the V-ball team just noticed you were from Stout and wanted to rip you off.  ;D

OS- I am a little disappointed (totally kidding  ;D I already posted it) you didn't post my game story from the UWRF website, but rather the Stout one. Do we know who writes those?

stoutguy--if you re-read my post, you will see that it says "could not attend", not "chose not to attend." At least I did not promise to show up, like you did after the Stout/RF football game, and then NOT SHOW UP at Bo's N Mine, like some "Big Shot Radio Announcer."

As far as the bottled water goes, BW already answered that question. Of course, we're always glad to take the money, especially from the well heeled folks from Menomonie.

Well, here's another crazy irony.  We stopped after the game and had a few beers at, guess where?  That's right, BO's N Mine.  By the way, you have a nice team over there but our women crunched your women so,  Na, na, na, na, na.

He is nice and he has gray hair but he is not elderly, stoutguy.

By the way is there any truth to the rumor I'm hearing that the mayor of River Falls is being investigated by the FBI for attempting to sell an alderman's position to the highest bidder and threatening to withhold city funds from the university if the basketball team does not beat WHITEWATER.   :o

If we keep giving this much attention to Stoutguy he is going to think that we care about him and his thouhts!!!!

I to remeber a man down there at WW but not as old as he mentioned.  He was always nice to me even though I played for Stout.  Same with some little guy at point.

I have picked Platt to win it this year and I dont see that changing, th just seem to he a well balanced inside out team.
You are only as good as the people around you.

Fredfalcon has hair?  Hair Club for men?  Does the city pay for that?

Yes, but that little guy at Point is married now, so he probably won't be so nice anymore.  Sout Survior, could there be a lesson here?

You guys quit picking on stoutguy or I'll turn you in for elder abuse.

He can't help it he's old.
