As I posted earlier, he was benched late in the season.  Still played well, but there seems to be something going on.

I'm assuming that was a factor.

He was still playing significant minutes and his contributions were still solid.  That's not an excuse for not making at least HM.

Games he didn't start:

vs. Whitewater:  19 pts, 32 minutes
vs. Superior:  14 pts, 5 reb, 5 ast, 30 minutes
vs. Platteville: 20 pts, 30 minutes
back in the starting lineup vs Oshkosh
back in the starting lineup vs River Falls
back in the starting lineup vs Stout
vs. Stevens Point: 9 pts (3-12 shooting), 24 minutes

It is if Coach K didn't nominate him.

Ed Andrist has complained to me in the past about how he perceives a lack of respect for his program.  Why don't you reread your post and see if you can understand why Eddie might feel this way. ;)

I had the same problem figuring out who was returning because the stats posted list 18 players and the roster posted lists 8.  Did 10 players leave the program over the course of this past season?  ???

Well, coach didn't dislike the player too much, he still played a significant part even without starting.  I don't know the rules of how players are voted, but I didn't know you could vote for your own player.  Thanks for the info on that.

Any recruiting news on the block?

UWRF has Tyler Schoyer (Altoona)

UWS has Aaron Corry (Northwestern), Trent Davis (St. Bernards)

UWO has Jade Royston (Wisconsin Dells)

Anyone know any other information...I got all of this from Wishoops.

You can't VOTE for your own player, but if you don't NOMINATE them, they don't even appear on the ballot.  I have no idea if that's what happened, I'm just presenting it as a possibility.

QuoteIs TVD recruiting on the Wolf or the Fox River this year?  There are some big catches on the Wisconsin if he gets over there soon.

;D I'm sorry, this made me laugh. Thanks T2K.

The WARHAWK men's wheelchair basketball team defeated the University of Illinois 82-79 to claim the 2009 National Wheelchair Basketball Championship.  It was the WARHAWKS eighth national championship and avenged their only loss of the regular season.

Are the WW wheelchair guys all disabled or are they just required to play in wheelchairs?  How is this sanctioned and what type of surface do they play on--rubber, wood, etc.?  What is a foul and what is an unfortunate accident in this sport?

Did Illinois get $$ from the sanctioning body to fly to WW or did they have to take a bus since it was under 500 miles from Champaign?  Or do they just hitch them on the back of semi trucks and let them ride up for free  ;D

Kind of cool for Whitewater, almost as good as dime taps at Mitchells.  8)

All in know is I like "Murderball"! They changed the name now to something more appropriate, but those wheelchair players are intense and highly skilled. My father coached a wheelchair basketball team.
