Sorry, but it looks like the UWP press release will be sometime next week. The paperwork is moving from office to office, but  it goes a little slower in summertime.

Maybe Coach Buchannan will come back and let us know if this rumor is true....

I dunno if that will happen or not... but over on the MWC board, this post was made earlier today:

Buchanan is new head coach at CU.

Just rumor thus far, nothing posted on either website, and I don't want to perpetuate rumors that aren't true... but this would be big news for the WIAC if true!

Watching the ESPY's tonight and watching Coach Meyer makes me remember what is great in this game.  My brother and myself had the honor to go to his college post camp after our sophmore year and be taught be him.  Congrats to him and may we all have half the strength he does.

I checked Carroll's website today and there is a article indicating they will make the announcement tomorrow.

It's official.  Dave Buchanan is going to Carroll University.  Logan Flora is the likely choice for the upcoming season @ UW-Superior.

Losing Buchanan is a blow to the WIAC.  Great coach, tireless recruiter, and a really nice guy.  Superior will still be good if the players stay.  Marcus Hellend from Baldwin/Woodville should be a great WIAC player.  Good luck to coach Buchanan.

Definitely a loss for Superior with Buchanan leaving. But I think he made a step up in terms of a small college job jump. Closer and easier place to recruit around Milwaukee/Chicago area. Surprised he didn't wait for the D2 gig to open, but maybe thats not what he wanted.

As for the UW-Superior opening if they open it up to the public, I think a very good choice would be Paul Eberhardt from Scottsdale Community College in AZ. He is a Wisconsin native and former WIAC assistant and definitely has the ability to keep Superior on the rise.

Bad luck for Superior, good luck for Carroll.  I think he has a bright future as a head coach.

When I read this I wondered if it would have any impact on the verbal committment made by Tosa East's Eric Williams.  The rest of Superior's recruiting class is from the northern part of the state or Minnesota but Williams is from Carroll's backyard.  Williams looks to be a pretty decent recruit.

I'm really hoping that UWP makes their announcement soon, because I'm dying for the rest of the WIAC world to know who Coach Gard has choosen.  Good picks IMHO.
