Well, I'd "predict" that they will slip by Northern Illinois by four.

They were simply dominating Northern Illinois into the fourth quarter and then it looked like last year's Michigan game all over again.  We got a couple of tough calls on the fumble recovery in which they ruled forward progress had been stopped.  Also the pass interference in the end zone on a pass that totally uncatchable.  Those were just two really poor calls.

Congratulations to Rick Bowen on getting inducted to the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall Of Fame!!! He will be inducted on October 3rd. What a great honor for a stand up coach and great teacher of the game. Thanks Coach!

As usual, Point is last to put out schedule, which they haven't yet...not that I know of.

Taking a quick look at the schedules:

-Eau Claire plays two nonconference games in Oshkosh over a weekend and then goes back to Oshkosh the following Wednesday for a conference game.  Plays Finlandia twice.

-Oshkosh plays Finlandia twice and Silver Lake College twice.

-Carthage eating crow and actually  playing TWO WIAC teams in it's own tourney...Platteville and Whitewater.

-Superior goes "north"-they play NORTHwestern College, NORTHland College and NORTH Park Univ.

What on earth could that be about? They need to hire an assistant coach, but who ever calls a press conference for an assistant coach.  I suspect it's more than that.

Hmm... interesting.  Point hasn't released their schedule yet... perhaps it has something to do with that?  Maybe an exhibition?

I still can't imagine they'd do a press conference to announce an assistant coach.  That would be weird.  I guess we'll see.
