WHITEWATER...89
Whitman...87

The first half was a see-saw affair with 10 ties and 23 lead changes before it ended with the two teams knotted at 42-42.  The second half started the same way with 3 ties and 5 lead changes over the first four minutes before Whitman took a lead they would build to as many as ten points with 11:36 remaining.  Over the next 4 1/2 minutes the WARHAWKS would make a 15-0 run and go up 72-67 with 7:08 to go.  The lead got as big as seven points but Whitman rallied and regained the lead once again, 82-81, with 2:54 left.  Whitman would build the lead to three but layups by Dustin Mitchell and Mike Bendall put the WARHAWKS back on top 85-84 with two minutes remaining and Dupree Fletcher would close out the WARHAWK scoring with a layup and pair of free throws.

Bendall had a huge game finishing with 26 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and a blocked shot.  Mitchell finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds.  DJ Dantzler added 17 points and Fletcher contributed 13 points. Whitman had the advantage from beyond the arch 12-30 but the WARHAWKS dominated in the paint 56-30 and hit 24-28 free throw attempts.

Per the Point radio guys, Dan Tillema is likely out for the year for SP with an ACL tear.

#4 Point leads #2 UST 37-31 at the half.  Oh, and #1 Wash U lost today to Transylvania today too.

No clue. It sounds like he has 1 semester of eligibility left and played at Loyola (IL?) and Montana.  With the Lance Randall/Loyola connection, I imagine that's how Point is going to land him... but it'll be his 3rd school, though it sounds like he was D-I caliber (as he played at 2 D-I schools!)

I'll research and post what I find.

Google has failed me.  I haven't found squat and neither Loyola nor Montana have posted rosters prior to this season.  I'm going to check ESPN... but I'm not holding my breath.

UWL beat Hardin-Simmons tonight 75-56 for their 5th straight win.

Didn't listen to game, so I don't have any details.

Whitworth....94
WHITEWATER....84

Though to a lesser degree the first half of this game was similar to Monday night.  The lead went back and forth with 5 lead changes and 6 ties before Whitworth scored the last seven points of the half and led 42-37.  Both teams shot the ball well (WW: 12-20, 60% including 5-9 3-pointers...Whitworth 16-30, 53% including 6-11 3 pointers) but the WARHAWKS turned the ball over 12 times to just 1 for Whitworth.  Whitworth led the entire second half.  After falling behind by 10 points the WARHAWKS shaved the lead down to 2 points, 66-64, with 8:24 to play but Whitmore pushed the lead back to 14 points with 2:22 remaining and 10 points is as close as the WARHAWKS would get the rest of the way.

Dustin Mitchell led the WARHAWK scorers and rebounders with 17 and 8 respectively.  DJ Dantzler added 16 points while Mike Bendall and Phil Negri each scored 12 points.  Negri and Fletcher DuPree each had 4 assists.  WHITEWATER finished with 15 turnovers while Whitworth had only 3.

bgbacker--it's no accident that EC has been in the championship game for the 15th straight year of their own tourney: all teams who host tournaments choose their first  round opponents very carefully. (:

New top 25 is out, as of Sunday's results, I believe (so the losses by the top 3 are not factored in).

I think it's very interesting.

#1 Wash U 625 still unanimous
#2 St. Thomas 597
#3 Whitewater 574 (picked up a point on St. Thomas since week 3)
#4 Randolph Macon 537
#5 Point 527

Randoph Macon hopped over Point... and they swapped poll points.  Point had 537 in week 3 voting and RM-C had 527.  Very interesting.

Btw, RM-C beat previously undefeated and (now) #10 Williams tonight 79-74.  Williams had a 16 point lead with 12 minutes left in the game and they lost.  And Point is losing to Viterbo 39-36 with about 14 minutes to go in that game.  Depending what happens in the Point game, next week's top 25 could be very interesting... Who's #1?
