wow, fletcher stole it with 15 seconds and scores.  hawks by 2.  ww shoots 30 something percent for the game, free throws key. ww down by 10 in second half, dantzler gets a steal in closing secs.  didn't sound like a lot of people made the trip, cept the chearleaders who trek 8 hours and get up at 5:30 in the morning.  now that's dedication, if i didn't work i would too and my car is crap.

hawks outrebounded horribly.  what a win.  up and down leads in the second half.  sounds like fletch caught fire.  chip mitchell with a big three to tie it.  bring on wooster or the garden kids

UWW outscored DC 7-0 in the final :37.  DC had shot as well as 60% during one point in the second half and made I think their first 7 shots.

Whitewater ended up shooting 40% and though they only were 4/21 from 3, 2 of those were in the last minute to bring the game from down 6 to down 3, then to tie.

UWW also had led the rebounding battle by 1 at the half and they were outrebounded for much of the second half... but then they stormed back and only trailed the rebounding battle by 3, 36-33.

Whitewater really took advantage of their size advantage and hit 23/28 from the FT line.

Mitchell with 17, Fletcher with 18, Sales ended up with 27 and 15.  Amazing performance by him.

sales was 6 foot 5, the radio said he plays a lot like Aubry Lou Byers back in the day.  ww overcomes a big effort from an individual to get a good team win.  hopefully it will carry over into the game tomorrow.  the lakeland boys saved us tonight with 3's. free throws a key in both halves, as the hawks came back from deficits to get back in the game......

Definitely, agree with everything there.  Defiance controlled things for  much of both halves, but UWW had some great runs to keep it close and then to take the lead.

I don't think that Miller would be very happy with the way that they played, but Defiance was absolutely on fire, especially at the beginning of the second half.

Whew!  Both WIAC teams dodged a bullet tonight.  Could have very well been 0-2 with a quick exit for the WIAC.  Exciting games though!

Tickets are on sale right now, you could try calling the ticket office either tonight or in the morning.  The number is on one of the past pages.  SNC should get a certain allotment too, I think, so you might be able to contact SNC for tix.
