Anyone know if Ziemer is going to play at Point next year or if he's even still in school?

It's my understanding that both Gregory and Ziemer are going to Oshkosh.

Interesting. I've heard Gregory to UW-Milwaukee and will not play ball anymore. I've heard to Ziemer to UW-Platteville or Edgewood College. Edgewood because they are closest to his home, but that may not happen because of finances. I hadn't heard Oshkosh connected with either of them, but I don't doubt that any of those scenarios could happen.

I do know that the Gregory kid had enrolled at UWO second semester so that would seem logical, however I hadn't heard anything regarding Ziemer.  I will see what I can find out about on that end.

What I have heard is that the two were going to enroll together and the schools had been narrowed to Eau Claire and Oshkosh.  Evidently they've become good friends through playing AAU ball together.  Like cubs I know for certain that Gregory is at Oshkosh.

Hmm... a post about refs not knowing intentional fouls when they see them, followed by a stats-filled post showing UWSP with the lowest number of personal fouls. Perfect timing ;)

It would be interesting to see that same table of stats for the last ten games.

Average over the last ten games for the four teams in the Point sectional:

Team     Carthage    IWU    UTD    UWSP
Won-Loss     9-1    7-3    8-2    8-2
Scoring offense     70.0     72.4    74.5    71.5
Scoring defense     63.8    68.0    68.4    59.9
Scoring margin      6.2     4.4     6.1    11.6
FG %     48.8   48.5    46.5    47.3
FG % defense     42.8    47.7    46.0    40.7
3 pt FG p/gm       6.0     6.5     8.4     5.5
3 pt FG %     28.2    39.4    32.3    35.3
3 pt FG % Defense     41.8    36.0    32.6    32.0
FT %     72.8    71.9    80.1    68.2
Rebound margin     -1.6    +2.2    +2.2    +6.2
Assists per game        13.9       15.0    16.5    13.1

Personal fouls p/gm     16.1       17.7  16.4  14.7

The Roop

Wow, even less personal fouls for UWSP than before. And Old School tells me I don't know what I'm seeing. LOL  ;D :D ;)

Thanks for putting that together. Shows the caliber of all the teams at this sectional, that's for sure!

Well what I was able to gather was that the original plan was for Ziemer and Gregory to transfer together, however right now Gregory is the only one enrolled at UWO.  There doesn't seem to be much information out there regarding Ziemer, so I really can't give much more information.

When I first tried it without using excel, it took forever.  I was new !t though.  Without excel, dont you have to highlight each piece of info and then click on the tab?

Not if you're inputting the data while you're setting up the table. The tabs establish their own start and end codes, just like the bold, italic, underline, strike, etc., codes.

In 6-7/225 junior Doug Sexauer (15.6 ppg, .624 FG), IWU has a pure back-to-the-basket star in the low post.  Doug is as polished as any D3 center out there this season.

That's an overstatement. Sexauer is a very good D3 center. But "as polished as any D3 center out there"? I really, really doubt that. What about Tyler Sanborn? Brandon Altmann? Dustin Mitchell? Marcel Esonwune? John Mantel? And there's probably other centers in the D3 ranks who are at least Sexauer's equal.

Heck, you can make a strong argument that the best center in the CCIW isn't Sexauer, it's Kyle Nelson of Augustana. Sexauer's a little better than Nelson when facing the basket; Nelson's a better rebounder than Sexauer, and he can also use his off-hand better than can his IWU counterpart. In fact, Sexauer's reluctance to shoot with his right hand belies any claim that he's fully polished.

I've seen Sexauer play numerous times, including twice this season. As I said, he's very good -- and opposing defenses have to take him very seriously. But at least at this point in his career he's nowhere near the level of, say, a Jeff Skemp or a Brent Ruch. And I doubt that he's on the level of a Tyler Sanborn, either.

Certainly plenty of seats available for the IWU/Carthage game. Large sections of the bleachers unoccupied.
