Or would he spend the time off-season (from football) preparing for the combine and try-outs.  If he plays basketball he will not be football-ready for those key events.  In fact many of the football events will conflict with the basketball season.

No disrespect to Jenkins but the odds of him getting invited to the combine are remote.  Very few punters get invites and the odds of one of them being from DIII aren't good.   He'll undoubtedly get a tryout it just won't be at the combine.

A former brother in law did some punting for Western Michigan in the seventies.  he chased an NFL career for years.  Fortunately, he kept his options open and is now a lawyer.

Its great to have dreams and pursue them, but everyone needs a backup for such high ambitions.

Old School,

Where's the picture of you holding this years' championship trophy right after the game  (with the official guy looking on with concern) like you posted last time?  ::)

If anyone would care to tell me how to post a picture in a message or as my "logo", I'd post myself with the walnut and bronze.  :o  For the record, there was a guy sitting at the table the trophy was on in the middle of the court that said, "Be careful"!  ;D :D

And my wife still thinks it lame posing with a trophy that I didn't actually win myself.  I said, if the Packers won the Super Bowl, wouldn't you want a picture with the Lombardi Trophy, or better yet, a picture with the Lord Stanley's Cup?!  She still didn't understand!  :'( :-[ ;)

Apparently I can do tables really easily, but took me awhile to figure out a picture, but I did!

All three trophies!  Wahoo!

I like the 2005 photo.  It looks like that guy is keeping a pretty close on eye on you, OS.  Perhaps afraid you're going to take off with the trophy?  :D

Who would win that footrace?  OS, carrying a 15 pound hunk of Walnut and Bronze or the guy in a shirt, tie and dress shoes?  That would be a fabulous pay-per-view event.

I think our resident Oshkosh fan, cubs, should talk to DJ Marsh to see if he was nominated to the all-star game at the Final Four.
Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I was told, only one player was allowed from each conference, excluding the four teams at the Final Four.  Since Mitchell was the WIAC Player of the Year, it seems like he was the obvious choice.

They did give preference to conference MVPs. However, I stand by my previous post.

Yeah, I had another picture of me with the trophy, but this one was with the "security guard" in it!  Funny thing is, after I got my picture with it, he took it from me to go somewhere else with it.  As he was leaving, I yelled (in a sarcastic way), "Hey, that guy's stealing the trophy!"  ;D  He didn't think it was that funny, but I did, and it's a true story!

Was my source correct that only one player per conference was allowed, excluding the four Final Four teams?

I don't believe that was a formal rule, though it did end up that way and it would be easy to make it up that way.

Marsh wasn't nominated, plain and simple, so it doesn't much matter.

Point is having a celebration at the Quandt on Wednesday evening and there's going to be an autograph session.  My wife wants a Matt Moses autograph badly.  What are the odds of me getting it for her?
