The Warhawks make 17/17 f.t., a school record, and still lose by almost 30? What's with that? Who was sorry to have watched that one?

Vines won't be playing this year.  He's decided to sit out and rehab.  The plan is for him to return next year.  It's unfortunate we could have used him.

Platteville goes to 3-0 with a 64-49 victory over Washington U.  The Pioneers are getting inside help from UWM transfer 6'6" Joe Allen and freshman 6'9" Chad Cross an all-state kid from IL.

I'm almost positive it's "Chas" Cross.  But you have Chad, and the UW-Platteville boxscore says "Chase"...young Mr. Cross is going to get a complex!

Thanks for the catch! ;)

La Crosse plays Viterbo Tuesday.  I'm sure either Brian Carroll or I will report.

I didn't see this reported on Saturday... but La Crosse lost to Trinity International Sat night.

As an Appletonian I am suprised but happy to see all the Appleton/FVA area players in the WIAC--especially in Eau Claire where 4 of them are getting quality minutes.  Plenty elsewhere as well.

Oshkosh has some FVA guys playing Lawrence in the "Super Bowl" on Wednesday night.

River Falls vs. St Thomas tonight at the new Schoenecker Arena.  The place should be rocking. First game played at the new facility.

I've heard rumors that student section tickets were going for astronomical prices. Anyone else hear that?

It will be a good test for River Falls on the road against a very talented team.  The Falcons have been close in the last two meetings. I think they finally break through and win tonight!

You can hear myself and Rick Bowen with the call for River Falls tonight. :) shameless plug.

Any idea if there will be video for this one?  I'd like to see the new arena.  I'll have my ears on you though!

Hey RF, if you see this and have a second, can you post a link to your webcast?  The link on the RF and WIAC websites is dead.

Never mind, found it.  LINK

No, but I used to go to LU games with him.  Pat tossed him off the site for some sort of mortal sin.  He is not happy about it but will live vicariously through me.   He really lost respect for TVD for that smart a** remark a few years back.

Falcons down 14 early in second half, took lead w/about two minutes left. See saw until end. Voeltz w/26 led RF scoring. Nobody else in double figures. Tommies had Nicolai, Healy, one other with around 11. Sounded like Voeltz had best game ever w/7 rbds too. Tommies first good team we've played and it looks like Falcons will be very  competitive in WIAC this season.

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!
