Manor had another spectacular score: in mid air, as the ball was about to go out of bounds over the end line, or so it looked, Manor "saved" it with his left hand and scooped it in from about 8-10 feet. That description does not really do the play justice. I hope it gets included in the videotape and is part of the game report on the Falcon site.

Great description Fred.  I was trying to explain it to someone and it was almost impossible.  The body control was something out of spiderman!

You gonna be there Fred to chear on your Falcons?  I haven't been keeping up with the hawks like I used to, but just looking at the scores and such.  I miss going to the games too being so close, but working a lot now.

Sat would be an excellent win at home and a great win for WW.  GO HAWKS!

4ever--can't make it, but should be a good one. Could go either way. I think WW is down this year, slightly, but I'll let BW comment on that.

RF is definitely up over last year. We have 9 players with double figure minutes, and Brady Hannigan, a starter the last two years, is the ninth in minutes. Of course, he started late because of a great year in football, and may yet gain his spot back

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

WHITEWATER'S status aside I think River Falls has got it going this year and they'll be a tough game for anyone in our league.  They've got decent size, athleticism,  scorers and good coaching.  I really think that this could be the year of the Falcon.

That said we'll do our best to spoil their trip to WHITEWATER.  Who knows we could get lucky and pull it off.

No sandbagging Whitewater.  They are a very good team.  They lost to Augustana and Wheaton, two of the best teams in the CCIW.  They lost at Point and at Stout...hardly embarrassing losses.  They have very good athletes and a good coach.  I would not be surprised at all if they beat River Falls tomorrow.

I'm streaming the game now live as I watch football, hate to see the seahawks winning since the are below .500.  WW with the lead by one, I did get a chance to catch some WW on T.V. against La Crosse, it was the WW station and was impressed by Davis.  I'll have to check out a game in the future if I can find time, but since I don't have Charter I can't get games on T.V anymore.  Doesn't sound too many people are at the gym today.  Winter break.

RF up by three now.  Voeltz double digits.  He graduated with my nephew.  GOOD OLD RF

GO HAWKS!

Platteville gets a layup with 1 second left to beat Stout.

Point dominated LX in the second half playing stifling defense and shutting down Tony Mane. Numerous inside shots resulted in 60% shooting in the 2nd stanza. Harris scored three straight buckets to put the game away, leading Point with 17. Hoelzel scored 15. Mane had 13 being hounded by Dan Tillema and Nick Krull. He never really could get into a rhythm and looked worn out when he finally left he game. impressive game by Point, easily their best of the year.

RF 85, WW 79 in OT. Voeltz with 28 and 12 rbds. leads Falcons.

Stout loses 83-81 on a buzzer beater layup. Stout gives up a full court pass with 1.5 seconds remaining for an easy layup by Cross. All I can say about this game is disappointing.
Both teams went on good runs back and forth with Platteville holding a 2 point edge going into halftime 40-42. Stout came out well and took the lead as much as 10 or 12. Stangel went off hitting a few 3's and getting a couple and 1's in the lane. The rest is history and just embarrassing.
Stouts press came with a few different looks but again didnt really produce many turnovers as Platt only had 10. Maybe they were trying to tire them out knowing they dont like to go that deep. Honestly though, Stout eventually just kills themself with that press. The go 10-12 deep every night and do not have the personell. Stout has 7 or 8 guys that can play, and I mean actually play. After that they dont have anyone that can produce any offense. I strongly disagree with Coach Andrist's subbing philosophy. This 5 in 5 out doesnt work. Olson played 37 solid minutes which is needed for Stout but th rest of the starters didnt play more than 30. Hostetter goes for 30, Buchholtz 27, Pax 24, and Higgins 16...... Oh and Oman 19. If someone has a different perspective and can tell me what else (other than these 6 players) Stout has, please enlighten me. The press is good to a point and then it gets to diminishing return with giving up easy layups, wide open shots, and fouls. Andrists needs to get his head out of his you know what and start coaching. He needs to get kids in line and get them to understand their roles. Polk, Jenny, Nelson, and Townsed..... What do they offer the team? I give Nelson credit tonight for solid defense and hit a couple shots I wouldnt agree with, but he hit them. On the otherside of that he shot another 2 or 3 shots that were absolutely ludacris and he should be yelled at till tomorrow for them. I just dont get what Eddie is thinking by not trying to get his scorers the ball and allowing people to do things that they arent good at. Jardine is one of the best hustlers in the conference and plays solid defense and knows his role. Why not play him more when he gets you steals, rebounds and great defense. 8 minutes is all that Eddie gives him.... What is this about? Playing for next year or what? You should be 3-3 at worst in conference but instead going to be battling for a tournament position because of bad coaching. If anyone has any other perspective of this I would love to hear it. Unreal what Eddie is doing with his talent and needs to figure stuff out..... fast!
