I think that rivalries change...  I would guess back in the day you could have had different answers.

I would say Whitewater and Point is probably the most current best rivalry but there are some others too.

Stout and Eau Claire based on nothing more then close proximity,
River Falls and Superior has been a pretty good one and with Shane Manor transferring down that adds fuel.

TVD and Ollie White that might be an upcoming rivalry to take on TVD and Titan 2000

Good thing the games tomorrow are being played on the western part of the state because the southeast is getting a blizzard.  I would assume Point should be pretty safe.  Not sure how the weather is northwest of the Milwaukee and Fox Valley areas.

It looked to me on the maps like the Blizzard warnings were all south of I-43... but that doesn't mean that there won't be snow above that line.

On that note, though... WW @ LaX is postponed:

I've gotta think that Oshkosh at Platteville won't be far behind... it's a farther trip and UWP is farther south than LaX, in the eye of the storm.

I would also vote for Point-Whitewater as the best rivalry.

We used to have a pretty good rivalry with EC.

River Falls matchup with Whitewater will be a "white-out" game.  Spectators are encouraged to wear white. I know not many people here are Falcon fans (or going to the game) but I thought I would mention it!

Anybody think Point beats Stout by more than 19 on Wednesday?  I bet on the Point/Stout games every year with a buddy of mine who played at Stout a few years ago.  The line was -10 Point the first game this year and Point won by 11.  I'm not too confident but it is standard that we split over the year.

I think there's a decent chance... especially the way Point has been playing lately.

I think I won the bet, wow did Stout shoot poorly tonight...and the complete opposite for Point.  Point needs to win by 20, they win by 51.

RF 76-70 winners over EC. Kimble makes all 6 of his  points in last minute with 4 f.t. and a bucket. Score, as I picked it up in last minute and a half, varied from a one pt. Falcon lead to the final 6.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

Anderson, one of the most improved Falcons, led scoring with a career high of 20 (19 last Saturday) mostly on basis of 6/8 threes. Falcons out rebounded  BG's 41-24. Otherwise, from the stats, it appears EC played well.

RF had as much as a 14 pt. lead second half, but it dwindled to a point with 31 seconds left.

I noticed that RF was 5/5 from 3 in the first half... and Anderson hit his first 3 in the second half as well... Wow!

Point again played stifling "D" in their win over Stout. Hostetter (18.3) and Buchholtz (12.3) came in averaging nearly 31 between them and managed only 3 total tonight. Hostetter finally made his only basket with 3:45 left to play. Harris had 20 in the first half and then only took 1 shot in the second. Stout had a 7-6 lead with 16:28 left in the first and then Point outscored them 38-1 in the next 11 minutes. They are playing ridiculously well, passing and playing defense. In the last 6 games (including the 4 point win at Oshkosh) they are beating teams by an average of 32 points. The last 14, which includes the 1 point loss at Platteville they are winning by an average of 82-54. Weekend off to watch he Packers win and then  on to EC.
