Kyle Green will energize the UW-EC Mens' BB program. I am very excited about the hire. Scott Kilgallon and the Search committee did a great job!

I heard today that both Tillemas will be playing for UWSP next year.  Still will be a lot of turn around on the roster from the last couple seasons.  Might see some young guys get some decent minutes next year, which I know Semling tries to avoid.  During his time there I can only remember J. Harris getting significant time as a freshman.

Rortvedt, Beamish and El-Amin in '05-06
Moses in '06-07, Hurd in '07-08

All averaged over 10 minutes a game their freshmen year

I guess my memory isn't that great..

I believe that all three saw increased minutes because Point had 4-5 seniors on the 2005 National Title team.  Just a reason why we saw three freshmen average double digit minutes.

And those guys could really ball :).

To hold par, with the losses this spring, Point could be in for freshman getting those minutes again in 2012.

That was refreshing. We hadn't had a good ol' fashioned ShineTime knee-jerk over-reaction in a while. Kind of comforting in a sad way.

Greek Tragedy

Point decided to run "the system" this year, hence all the recruits.  Construction on another row of folding chairs on the bench is now under way.

OK...let's play this game...who is in line for the highly coveted asst job at UWSP?  I mean, really, who's ready, after a short stay in Central WI,  to visit South FLA?  Any former UWSP guys??? How about Scott Anderson again or Levi Massey?  All kidding aside, it's a pretty good gig...

According to Wis Hoops Network Just A Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells is expanding the owner said "We would like to help enhance the Division III programs in our state," is a WIAC  tourney final four at one location in the making? Basketball, water parks and a casino sounds like a fun weekend.

Very interesting. Perhaps a holiday showcase tournament featuring WIAC-NAC-MWC-CCIW-MIAC teams?

Looking at UWEC's roster.  Assuming everyone returns except Ruh, Franklin and Fofana.

That is a 12-man roster.  They lose 3 of their top 4 scorers.  Return their top rebounder and decent size.  They return 8 players who played in at least 19 out of 25 possible games.

The teaam will probably center around Mielke, Kalien and Craggs all juniors to be.

Doubtful any newcomers help the situation unless green knows of a suprise transfer or two!

Marcus Ruh So.
Paul Franklin Fr.
Ivan Franklin Sr.
Kyle Winkelman Fr.
Nick Craggs So.

I've been to volleyball tournaments there.  Its not ready for D3 sports, from what I've seen.  Seating is limited.
